In addition, a number of activities were held in Guangdong and Macao during the Spring Festival holiday to attract tourists, and the Gongbei Port also showed the characteristics of a two-way peak this year. During this year's Spring Festival, Macao's "Dragon Horse Spirit" fireworks display and celebrity shows** were intertwined with the Spring Festival cultural and tourism performances launched in Zhuhai and the Spring Festival activities launched by various characteristic scenic spots, which not only attracted tourists from the province to start a short journey, but also attracted tourists from other mainland provinces, which greatly stimulated the cross-border tourism boom between Zhuhai and Macao.
According to the statistics of the Gongbei Border Inspection Station, from February 10 to 17, the total number of people traveling between Zhuhai and Macao through the Gongbei Port reached more than 2.08 million, an increase of more than 60% compared with last year's Spring Festival, and the highest number of people in a single day reached more than 280,000.
