How to show what you are hiding

Mondo Technology Updated on 2024-02-02

When using UG (Unigraphics) NX, a professional 3D CAD software, if some parts or objects are hidden, they can be re-displayed by following these steps:

Use the Show and Hide tool

In UG NX, you can control the visual state of an object through the Show and Hide tool.

Go to the View or Operation menu and find the Show and Hide option.

Here you can find different options to show or hide parts, layers, geometry, and more.

Layer operations

If objects are placed in different layers, and some layers are hidden, you can control their visibility through the Layer Manager.

Open the Layers panel, check the status of each layer, and make the layers you want to display visible.

Use the "Undo Hide" feature

If you've just hidden some objects and want to recover them quickly, you can use the Undo Hide feature.

Usually, after hiding an object, a quick-access "Undo Hide" button will appear on the software interface, and you can restore the hidden object by clicking on it.

Find a specific hidden object

If you are looking for specific hidden objects, you can use the Part N**igator or Feature N**igator to find and select them.

In the navigator, hidden objects are often displayed in different ways (for example, gray or italics), and you can right-click on them and choose to show them.

Use shortcut keys

Some versions of UG NX allow direct control of the display and hiding of objects via shortcuts. Specific shortcuts may vary by version.

Make sure you understand what you're displaying, especially when you're working with complex models.

It is advisable to save your work before making any important show and hide operations.

If you encounter any specific problems or errors while using UG NX, it may be more effective to refer to the software's help documentation or contact technical support. Different versions of UG NX may differ in interface and functionality, so make sure to refer to the guidance corresponding to your software version.
