5-Carboxytetramethylrhodamine, also known as 5-tamra [5-carboxytetramethylrhodamine], is a fluorescent reagent that can be used to make carboxyfluorescein-oligonucleotide-carboxytetramethylrhodamine (FAM-DNA-TAMRA) fluorescent probes.

It produces bright, pH-insensitive orange-red fluorescence (excitation and emission excitation and emission extrema of 546 579) and is very photostable.
