In California's Napa Valley, there is a family-run boutique winery that produces wines that have received high marks from Robert Parker. Parker also praised that "the wines of the estate are excellent examples of elegant Bordeaux-style blends, with fresh palates, excellent ageing potential, pure style and depth." "This Napa estate is Juslyn Vineyards.

In 1997, Perry Butler and his wife, Carolyn Butler, bought about 17 hectares of land in Napa Valley's Spring Mountain District to create Garrin Winery. The name "Juslyn" is a combination of the first half of their daughter's name and the second half of Caroline's name. The British couple came to California in the 80s and started a technology company. In addition to their busy schedules, they fell in love with wine. In 1997, they took over the company and established their own winery. At that time, the original vineyard had been abandoned for a long time, so the couple hired a planter to replant the vines. Since the grapes from the newly planted vines were not yet suitable for winemaking, the first years of the winery were to purchase grapes from other winegrowers, with 1998 being its first vintage.

The terroir of the vineyards at Château Garin is exceptional, with undulating slopes and an ideal south-east orientation that allows the vines to receive more light and heat. Cabernet Sauvignon is the main plantation of Cabernet Sauvignon, accounting for about 90%, and the remaining 10% of the garden is planted with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. As early as 2001, Château Garrin made its wines, highlighting the elegance of fine wines. After more than 20 years of development, Garrin Winery has rapidly emerged as a high-end boutique winery in Napa Valley, producing wines that often receive high scores from wine critics, making it an unmissable stop for wine lovers looking for a taste of Napa.

Celebrity reviews

The grapes are made from a blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc and 2% Merlot, and aged for two years in new 75% French oak barrels as well as old oak barrels. This wine is sweet with tannins and elegant style, reminiscent of Saint-Julien wines, with delicate flavors of cedar wood, licorice, blackcurrant and redcurrant and earth. Medium to full-bodied, with ripe tannins, high complexity, and a long, rich finish.
