Outlook is one of the Microsoft Office software, and its main role is to send and receive network e-mail, management, etc. The full integration of features such as email, calendar, and contact management makes Outlook a client in the eyes of many business users, i.e., a tool on a web terminal.
To put it simply, it's the equivalent of a webmail receiving, sending, and managing tool that allows you to log in to your email without having to upload a web page. Every day is like opening QQ and other chat tools, open Outlook on the computer, wait for the email to arrive, and then you can reply to the other party in time. (as shown below).
Therefore, let's not think of Outlook as too complicated, just know that it is a "chat tool", and this tool is a tool to log in with a personal email or business email to contact the outside world. And this tool can help you organize and manage logs, contact information, email information, etc.
How does Outlook work?
If you have your own email address, or a business-assigned mailbox, you can use Outlook. Bind the email address you use to Outlook, and you can use it normally.
The specific binding steps are as follows: (My computer is Windows10 Outlook is the 2019 version, the version doesn't matter, the system defaults).
First of all, open Outlook, open the tool for the first time in the lower left corner of the computer in the start bar, directly double-click to open the interface to enter the email address. As shown below, fill in your email address, turn on the advanced options, and select "Let me set up my account manually".
Then click Connect, and the following interface will appear:
In the pop-up dialog box as shown in the figure, select "pop", and you will be asked to fill in the login password, as shown in the following figure:
After entering your email password, click "Connect", the following confirmation interface will appear, the "server" address in the first column, Outlook will automatically help you identify, no need to fill in.
Finally, click "OK", if the account, password, and POP server address you set are correct, then "Successfully added" will appear. , as shown in the figure below:
Then, you can use the Outlook tool normally and chat by email. Open the tool every day and see the latest, unanswered emails without having to enter your username and password.
However, there is a bad thing about the Outlook tool now, that is, it will only be free to use for half a year, and then you need to activate (purchase) Microsoft 365 to use more permissions.
Once you've set up your users, you can create contacts, write logs, mark things to do, and much more, and of course, the most important feature is to send and receive emails. Some other advanced Office features require Microsoft 365 to be activated, but they are not cost-effective.
