When I first became a teacher, I was deeply fascinated by those seemingly gorgeous but empty educational theories. I am passionate about pursuing new teaching methods, experimenting with various popular classroom models, and dressing up the classroom like a colorful stage. However, as time went by, I gradually found that although these showmanships can temporarily attract students' attention, they are difficult to really stimulate, and their enthusiasm for learning cannot help them build a solid knowledge base.

Once, I tried to use a popular role-play in a history lesson. The students were really excited, dressed in costumes and acting out historical events in class. However, when I reflected after class, I found that most students' understanding of historical events was still superficial, and they did not really grasp the core of historical knowledge. I began to wonder if I was on the wrong track.

Just as I was wandering at the crossroads of education, a chance encounter brought me into contact with the concept of "pragmatic education". I began to re-examine my own teaching methods and think about the nature of education. I realized that education is not a show, but a journey of the heart. What it needs is not flashy showmanship, but down-to-earth, step-by-step practice.

So, I started trying to change the way I teach. I abandoned those empty theories and flashy forms, and instead focused on the actual needs and learning outcomes of students. I delved into the textbook and carefully designed the content of each lesson. I pay attention to the individual differences of my students and strive to provide them with personalized tutoring. I also actively communicate with parents to support their children's growth.

After a period of practice, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the students' attitude towards learning has changed significantly. They become more focused and engaged, and their thirst for knowledge is stronger. Their academic performance has improved significantly, and more importantly, they have started to enjoy the learning process.

Now, I have been on the road of education for many years. I know I still have a long way to go and a lot to learn and improve. However, I believe that as long as I insist on abandoning the showmanship and constantly pursuing the authenticity and effectiveness of education, I will be able to deduce a kind of education ideal that belongs to me and is the most plain.

Looking back, I feel glad that I have taken a detour. It was those tortuous experiences that gave me a deeper understanding of the true meaning of education. I believe that in the days to come, I will continue to carry this understanding and perception and firmly walk on my own path of education.
