The United States and Europe have released the supply of chips to Russia, and the reasons behind it

The United States and Europe released the chip ** to Russia, and the reason behind it is surging!

Text: Dog Tricks.

In order to prevent Russia's continued access to its core technology chips, Europe and the United States have enacted a new regulatory policy that prevents their affiliates from exporting important chips to Russia. For this reason, some companies have suspended chip-related business related to Russia and have already declared a suspension of shipments.

However, according to Russian customs statistics, from January to September this year, a total of 1.7 billion US dollars of semiconductors and chips were imported from the United States and European companies, such as Intel, Texas Instruments, STF, etc. This means that no matter how tightly regulated, chip manufacturers in the United States and Europe continue to send chips out.

For this incident, the United States did not initiate any investigation, and there is no evidence that the American company shipped the goods illegally. Since the reappearance of Huawei's Kirin, many American companies, including South Korean companies, have been included in the review list. But at the moment, they have not done anything, and American companies have not done in-depth research on this, which is rare.

So, they don't care about these massive emails at all?

In fact, from the writer's point of view, maybe he is not unwilling to be responsible, but he is simply incapable of being responsible. The reason I say this is that the current shipping conditions cannot be completely changed.

At the time of publication, many of the companies involved in shipping claimed that they had strictly enforced the relevant regulations and that compliance monitoring, including the transmission of wafers and other operations, was regulated. In other words, although the Russian chips were designed or manufactured by themselves, they were not shipped by themselves. Therefore, in the specific implementation process, Lao Mei cannot verify which companies are involved in chips, nor can they verify the legitimacy of those companies.

Most of the chips are provided by distributors or other marketing channels. There are so many suppliers, no matter how big the Americans are, they can't do it. And the most important thing is that the distance between them is not very far, and the sales volume of each company is determined by the dealers, and the dealers are also increased in price. It is already very difficult for one company alone, not to mention that many European and American companies are involved this time.

To put it simply, they do drive everywhere, but in reality, they don't drive their cars anywhere. Perhaps this is why a rare statistic in American history has been slow to act.

But now, Biden is caught in a dilemma.

If he were to restrain it, it would be absolutely impossible, and he would also be responsible for 'punishing the lone wanderer'. The most basic point is that the long-term regulation of the chip industry has forced other semiconductor powers to focus on their own research, thereby reducing their influence in the semiconductor field. Their allies are still holding their breath, waiting for their decision. Therefore, many things are not as good as they were at the beginning, and they will not be in such a dilemma as they are now, and they will destroy their purity in vain.
