On the morning of February 23, Taizhou City held a meeting to promote the construction of the S2 line project of the municipal railway to further implement the tasks of the next stage and make every effort to accelerate the construction of the project. 
As a provincial key project of thousands of trillions of yuan, the S2 line project of the municipal railway is the second urban rail transit project in Taizhou after the S1 line of the municipal railway, and it is also the infrastructure project with the largest investment in the city. The project starts from Beiyang Town, Huangyan District, passes through Huangyan District, Linhai City, Jiaojiang District, Taizhou Bay New Area, and ends at Fangte Paradise in Taizhou Bay New Area, with a total length of 66It is 57 kilometers and has 20 stations on the whole line. After the completion of the project, the main axis of the city's east-west public transportation will be constructed, and the S1 line of the municipal railway will form an urban transportation backbone network of "eastward expansion and westward expansion, south and north crossing" in the central urban area, which is of great significance for promoting urban integration. 
The meeting pointed out that the construction of the S2 line project of the municipal railway is an inevitable requirement for optimizing the layout of the city's rail transit network and improving the energy level of the central city, an urgent need to expand effective investment and promote high-quality economic development, and a key measure to adhere to the people-oriented principle and increase the sense of gain of the public. In the next stage, all units at all levels in the city should continue to forge ahead towards the goal of completing the investment task of 6 billion yuan throughout the year and opening operation by the end of 2027.
