Article 1247 of the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China [Liability for Harm Caused by Dangerous Animals Prohibited from Keeping] Where dangerous animals such as fierce dogs that are prohibited from being raised cause harm to others, the animal keeper or manager shall bear tort liability.

On February 5, the Supreme People's Court released a typical case of injury caused by raising animals (see figure below), which is clearIf a large dog is forbidden to injure a person, the dog owner shall bear full responsibility regardless of whether the victim is at fault or not.

So what are the forbidden fierce dogs?

You need to refer to the local regulations on dog breeding. It is usually determined by the public security department in conjunction with the municipal veterinary department and relevant industry associations, and announced to the public.

2. French wolfdog, Kunming wolfdog, German shepherd, etcWolfdogs and crossbreeds with a wolfdog pedigree

English Bulldog, English Vintage Bulldog, American Bulldog, Tosa Dog, Bull Terrier, German Dobermanand other fierce dogsand crossbreeds with the pedigree of the above dog breeds。The definition of a hybrid dog in Article 3 also includes purebred dogs whose ancestors have a bullfighting bloodline but have now become a separate breed, such as the French Bulldog.
