There are only the founding stars leftPeople, the oldestyears, the youngestyears old
Time flies, time is fleeting, and the emotion of things and people always exists. The first rank of general star was once dazzling, and now only four people are still left. They are Zhang Lixiong, Tu Tongjin, Wen Bang and Wang Fuzhi.
Among them, the eldest Zhang Lixiong is 110 years old, and the youngest Wang Fuzhi is also over 100 years old. General Zhang Lixiong was born in 1913 in an ordinary farming family in Fujian.
At that time, the Qing Dynasty had been declared overthrown, and people were moving forward in the process of democratic revolution.
Living in an era of warlordism and chaos, Zhang Lixiong deeply felt the hardship and oppression of the people. With his outstanding performance, he joined the Communist Party of China in 1931 and was recommended to join the party after two years of working in the Youth League organization.
In 1932, he joined the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army and began his career as a soldier. This short three-year transformation set him on a bright path. Although he did not receive a long-term education due to his poor family, he had the ability to read and write, so he was trained as a political commissar in the army.
During the Anti-Japanese War, Zhang Lixiong served as a teacher at Kang University, carried out political work and cultivated talents for the army, and later served in the Taihang and Henan Military Regions, accumulating rich combat experience and contributing to the victory of the War of Resistance against Japan.
After the outbreak of the Liberation War, he held a higher position and made great achievements. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he always obeyed the organizational arrangements and held important positions. In 1961, Zhang Lixiong was promoted to the founding major general.
General Tu Tongjin and General Wen Tan are also surviving founding generals, aged 109 and 105 respectively.
Tu Tongjin, a medical doctor from Fujian, was born in 1914. His experience in the army was unique and hard. Under the tempering of the Red Army's 25,000-mile Long March, he bravely shouldered heavy burdens, and no matter how bad the environment was, he was able to save the dead and help the wounded with firm faith and fearless spirit, and protect the lives and safety of his comrades-in-arms.
This experience was deeply imprinted in his heart and inspired him to constantly improve his medical skills. In the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, he reduced the sacrifices of many people with the benevolence of a healer.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he was sent to the Soviet Union for further study, and after returning to China, he made outstanding contributions to the medical cause of our country. In 1960, Tu Tongjin was awarded the title of Founding Major General.
His deeds will always be remembered in our hearts.
General Wang Fuzhi, who is 100 years old this year, is the youngest of China's founding generals. Born in 1923, he joined the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army at the age of 12 and began his revolutionary career.
In the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, he continued to make military achievements, and was promoted to division commander at the age of 30. After the end of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, he remained active in the field of artillery and was promoted to major general in 1964.
Despite being over 100 years old, General Wang Fuzhi is still in good spirits and has made significant contributions to the development of the squadron. "
Against the backdrop of that harsh era, he looked young, but he grew up rapidly, and tempered his will and outstanding talent. He participated in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the War of Liberation and the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and after returning to China, he was entrusted with important tasks, first serving in the first place, and then going to the military region for training, and as a commander, he made contributions to the construction of the Shanxi and Urumqi Military Regions.
In 1964, Wang Fuzhi was awarded the rank of major general. Today, although the comrades-in-arms who fought side by side in the past have passed away, Zhang Lixiong, Tu Tongjin, Wen Bang and Wang Fuzhi are still holding on to the prosperity and development of the motherland for them.
