How to set the photos you want from Apple Featured Photos

Mondo Technology Updated on 2024-02-01

On iPhones, setting up a selection is an automated process, and there is currently no direct way to manually select a selection. The featured feature is automatically selected from your album by the system, based on your usage habits and memories.

However, there are ways you can influence or manage the content that appears in the featured:

Remove collections that you don't want to show: If you don't want certain Featured items, you can remove them from the App. Just open the app, find the one you want to remove, press and hold, and select Remove from Featured.

Create a specific album: While you can't set a collection directly, you can influence it indirectly by creating a specific album. Create a new album in the Featured app, name it Collections, and manually add the Featured that you want to appear in. This way, the system may be more inclined to select the Featured in this album.

Manage the ** of a specific memory: In the **app, you can manage ** for specific memories. If you don't want a particular memory (such as a place or holiday) to appear frequently in the collection, you can select "Show less of these memories."

Please note that these methods do not guarantee that the selection will be tailored exactly to your wishes**, as Apple's algorithm also takes into account other factors. But these steps can help you manage and influence curated content to some extent.
