For the sake of secrecy, Dong Jianmin's family jumped into the sea and died
For the sake of communist ideals, in order to allow more people to be free, they would rather give their lives than divulge party secrets. Their vow was: "Swear to live and die with the code!" ”
The young couple, Zhong Qi and Dong Jianmin, with their two-year-old son in their arms, jumped from the merchant ship into the rough sea, and their figures disappeared in the waves, along with the important secrets of our party.
In order to protect the party's secrets, they did not hesitate to sacrifice themselves and their families. Zhong Qi and Dong Jianmin are heroes with firm beliefs, and their stories are worth understanding and learning from.
In 1923, Dong Jianmin was born in Jinghai County, Tianjin, her father Dong Shaotang and uncle Dong Qiusi were both cultural people at that time, her father graduated from Nankai Middle School, and her uncle graduated from Yenching University, and his thoughts were progressive.
Under the influence of Dong Qiusi, Dong Jianmin and several other children also began to come into contact with and accept revolutionary ideas. In 1939, Dong Jianmin, her sister Dong Qingmin, and cousin Dong Zhongmin all came to Dong Qiusi's side.
In that era of national calamity, Dong Qiusi taught them that if they follow him, they will have to endure hardships, but it is everyone's responsibility to fight devils. 16-year-old Dong Jianmin said firmly: "I also want to join the Communist Party and go to the front line to fight devils." ”
Her sister and cousin also said they wanted to go along. Dong Qiusi was very happy after hearing this, and he decided to lead these children to join the team of resisting Japan and saving the country.
In the spring of 1939, Dong Jianmin, Dong Zhongmin, and their sister Dong Qingmin set out on their way to Xi'an, where they planned to go to Yan'an, the center of the revolution, after three months of study at the Anwubao Youth School in Jingyang County.
However, fate was cruel, Dong Qingmin died of illness during the journey, and the sisters were left with only Dong Jianmin and Dong Zhongmin to move on. They studied in the youth academy for three months, then came to Yan'an and began their revolutionary career.
They studied together at Shaanbei Public School, which not only improved their cultural literacy, but also received rigorous military training in order to pass the organization's assessment. Their study life is very hard, and they often stay up late at night under the oil lamp to write their study experiences.
In 1940, they all successfully passed the examination, became a member of the Communist Party of China, and embarked on the road of serving the people. However, due to the identity of the party members and the secrecy of their work, the nature of their work varied, and it was difficult for the two sisters to see each other again.
Despite this, they always had a firm belief in the revolution in their hearts and continued to work hard for the prosperity of their motherland.
In 1941, 18-year-old Dong Jianmin joined the Confidential Department of the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Communist Party of China and undertook the work of translating telegrams. Although Dong Jianmin was young, he was delicate, and intercepted several pieces of enemy intelligence in his work, which avoided losses for our army and saved the day.
During his work, Dong Jianmin got acquainted with Zhong Qi, who was also from Xian County, Hebei Province, and was a revolutionary fighter. Zhong Qi is two years older than Dong Jianmin and is a revolutionary fighter with progressive thinking, courage and resoluteness.
The two are like-minded, share the same ideal of saving the country and the people, and always have endless words. They gradually get closer to each other, and eventually, their friendship sublimates into love, and they become a revolutionary couple.
In 1942, Dong Jianmin and Zhong Qi held a wedding in a simple cave in Yan'an Zaoyuan, and the witness was Li Kenong, who served as the deputy minister of the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Communist Party of China.
Most people's wedding vows are usually full of sweetness and promise, but Dong Jianmin and Zhong Qi vowed to stick together, to stick to their loyalty to the party, and to keep secrets. Their oath was: "For the liberation of millions of people and for the sake of the communist ideal, I would rather sacrifice my own life than divulge the secrets of the Party." ”
A few years later, they fulfilled their vows with their lives.
After getting married, Dong Jianmin and Zhong Qi knew how to support and love each other more, and their enthusiasm for work was also higher, and they were always able to complete their tasks excellently. In 1944, their son Zhong Mingming was born, symbolizing the coming of light and victory.
And just a year later, our country's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression was finally won. On August 15, 1945, the Japanese emperor announced his acceptance of unconditional surrender, and the news of the victory of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression made the whole country rejoice.
However, the war was not over, and the Kuomintang launched a frantic attack on the liberated areas, and we were forced to fight.
Dong Jianmin and Zhong Qi are still on the front line of the revolution, fighting for the liberation of the people of the whole country.
Dong Jianmin and Zhong Qi, the husband and wife whom Li Kenong trusted very much, received a crucial task -- to establish a radio station in Dalian and improve the intelligence work in the northeast. The two have a very high level of business, and as husband and wife, it is easy to dress up as ordinary people, and it is not easy to be exposed along the way.
With their two-year-old child, Zhong Mingming, they bid farewell to Yan'an and set off for the revolution again. The organization specially sent a squad of fighters to escort them, escorting them all the way to Qingdao.
After arriving in Qingdao, Dong Jianmin's family of three bought a ferry ticket and planned to go to Dalian by sea. The Kuomintang troops were strictly guarding the docks, how did they pass the inspection?
Dong Jianmin and Zhong Qi cleverly hid the code in the child's diaper, and deliberately put a silver dollar in case of emergency. They successfully passed the interrogation and boarded the ship bound for Dalian.
However, their whereabouts were discovered by the enemy, and the situation was urgent.
Because of the betrayal of the traitor, Dong Jianmin and Zhong Qi's itinerary was learned by the spies, and Huludao sent ** to intercept it. They thought they were about to complete their mission, but the boat suddenly stopped in Bohai Bay, surrounded by a group of spies, and even gunshots rang out.
Dong Jianmin and Zhong Qi understood that these spies were coming for them. Dong Jianmin's child suddenly cried and found that his body was covered in blood, and it turned out that he had been shot. Dong Jianmin hugged the child tightly, but she knew that she could not lose this important ciphercode, which was a secret of our party.
The traffic officer came over, and Dong Jianmin instructed him to go back alive, tell the organization the news that the mission was not completed, and ensure the security of the cipher code. Dong Jianmin and Zhong Qi knew that it would be difficult for them to escape safely, but they looked at each other firmly together.
Dong Jianmin nodded, and the eyes of the two were full of understanding. Zhong Qi understood his wife's decision, he walked to them and hugged Dong Jianmin and the child tightly. The couple jumped into the rough sea with their children.
In everyone's exclamations, this family of three disappeared into the sea with the cipher code. They protected the cipher code and gave the precious lives of the whole family. This year, Dong Jianmin was 23 years old, Zhong Qi was 25 years old, and the child in their arms, Zhong Mingming, had just turned two years old.
There was a traffic officer who drifted in the sea for a long time and was finally rescued. He told the organization that Dong Jianmin and Zhong Qi's family of three died heroically to protect the party's secrets. At that time, the party organization was unable to get in touch with their families in time, but they eventually held a memorial service before the retreat from Yan'an.
The three sisters of the Dong family joined the revolution together, and only Dong Zhongmin survived. Due to the secrecy of the war, Dong Zhongmin did not know the news of his sister's death for many years. It wasn't until the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949 that she learned the news and wept bitterly.
Dong Zhongmin then reported the deeds of his sister and Zhong Qi to the organization, and asked them to be posthumously recognized as martyrs. In 1981, after the certification of Luo Qingchang, director of the Investigation Department of the Communist Party of China, Dong Jianmin and Zhong Qi were posthumously recognized as martyrs and included in the "Revolutionary Martyrs List".
Dong Zhongmin has always missed his sister deeply. In 1988, he took his children to the Xibaipo Memorial Hall to visit the "Exhibition of Heroic Deeds of the Party's Intelligence and Reconnaissance and Defense Front".
Inside the memorial, there is a huge oil painting depicting a young couple holding a child in the bow of a boat, and the family is about to jump into the sea. Seeing this painting, Dong Zhongmin couldn't help but burst into tears, pointed to the painting and said, "This is your little aunt and uncle, they are too young." ”
Dong Jianmin and Zhong Qi finally chose to sacrifice their lives in order to protect the party's secrets, and now their bodies are nowhere to be found, but we must not forget them.
Although we could not find their remains, their images are still there. In order to commemorate these two martyrs, in June 2005, the Ministry of ** placed their portraits in the Babaoshan Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery in Beijing, and let them enter the cemetery in a special way.
The village director of the village committee, where Dong Jianmin was born, also erected a tomb for them, and said that they should use their revolutionary spirit to educate future generations: "Almost everyone in the village knows about their heroic deeds.
While we are proud of them, we also educate future generations with their revolutionary spirit. "We should always remember those martyrs who shed their blood for our happy and stable life, and pay tribute to the two martyrs, Dong Jianmin and Zhong Qi!
