Winter is coming, and the earth is covered with a layer of white snow, as if wearing a white and flawless down jacket. Snowflakes floated in the sky, dancing in the air like groups of happy elves. I love winter because winter is a magical season that brings us endless joy and surprises.

In the morning, the sun has not yet risen, and the stars in the sky are still twinkling. I went to school with my mother, and the pedestrians on the road were tightly wrapped, with only a pair of eyes exposed. The trees, houses, and grass along the roadside are covered with snow, like white castles. I couldn't help but reach out and touch the snowflakes, they melted into water droplets in the palm of my hand, and the cold feeling made me laugh.

When I arrived at school, my classmates were playing in the snow on the playground. Some build snowmen, some have snowball fights, and some roll around in the snow. I joined them, and together we built a big snowman and put a hat and a pair of glasses on it. Looking at that cute snowman, we all smiled from ear to ear.

During recess, we ran to the grove behind the school building. The snow there was thicker than on the playground, and it was soft to step on, like stepping on cotton. We played hide-and-seek in the woods, hiding behind trees, in the grass, looking for each other. Although it was bitterly cold, we had a good time and didn't feel cold at all.

After school, I came home with my mom. On the way, we saw a string of red sugar gourds hanging in front of a small shop, which made my mouth water. My mother bought me a bunch, and the sugar gourd was crystal clear, sweet with a hint of sourness, and it was really delicious. I was eating sugar gourds while imagining the good times of winter.

In the evening, I made dumplings at home with my dad. We first knead the flour and water into small doughs, and then roll them out with a rolling pin into a thin dumpling wrapper. My dad taught me how to make dumplings, I put the filling on the dumpling skin, and folded the dumpling skin in half and pinched the edges like my father. Although the shape of my dumplings is a bit strange, I am still happy. Finally, we put the dumplings in the pot and boiled them, and the aroma of the dumplings made my mouth water.

After dinner, I watched TV with my mom and dad. The programs on TV are all about winter, with wonderful programs such as Frozen and Ice World. I watched it with relish, as if I was in a beautiful world of ice and snow.

The winter nights are quiet, and the snowflakes are still falling outside the window. I lay in bed, listening to the sound of snowflakes outside the window, thinking that I could play in the snow again tomorrow, and my heart was full of anticipation. Winter may be cold, but it brings us endless joy and good memories. I love winter because it's a season full of fairy tales.

I had many happy times with my friends during this winter. We built snowmen, had snowball fights, played hide-and-seek, and had delicious sugar gourds and dumplings together. These good memories make me cherish this winter even more, and they also make me look forward to the next winter even more.
