America s Middle East dilemma!

The Middle East is a region full of oil and gas resources and religious conflicts, and it is also a place where multiple empires have been buried. Britain and the Soviet Union have suffered defeats and setbacks in the Middle East, and the United States is facing the same crisis. The hegemony of the United States in the Middle East is being severely tested, and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the Red Sea crisis are two landmark events of the decline of the United States. Whether the United States will be able to get out of the Middle East's predicament, or whether it will be dragged into the quagmire by Israel, will determine the future direction of the United States.

The United States' Middle East policy has always been aimed at protecting Israel's security and interests, while ignoring the legitimate rights and interests of the Palestinians and the demands of other Middle Eastern countries. The United States not only provides diplomatic cover for Israel at the United Nations, but also provides Israel with a lot of assistance militarily. This partiality policy of the United States has led to instability and turmoil in the Middle East, and has also greatly reduced the reputation and influence of the United States in the Middle East and the world.

The recent Palestinian-Israeli conflict is a case in point. Israel, with the support of the United States, has launched a brutal air and ground offensive on the Gaza Strip, causing extensive civilian and infrastructure damage. Not only did the United States fail to stop Israel's atrocities, but instead repeatedly vetoed resolutions calling for a ceasefire at the United Nations, and even offered Israel more. This practice of the United States has aroused condemnation and opposition from the whole world, including some of its allies. America's moral high ground and leadership have been severely weakened, while America's hostile forces have taken advantage of the opportunity.

The Red Sea crisis is another event that threatens US hegemony. The Red Sea is one of the world's most important maritime communication arteries, connecting Europe, Asia and Africa, as well as a strategic passage through the Middle East. Recently, a series of conflicts and turmoil have occurred in Yemen, Somalia, Ethiopia and other countries along the Red Sea coast, threatening the security and unimpeded passage of the Red Sea. The United States, as the world's most powerful maritime power, was supposed to play a leading role in the Red Sea crisis and uphold the international order and freedom of navigation, but the United States showed weakness and incompetence. Not only has the United States failed to effectively address the root causes of the Red Sea crisis, nor has it been able to organize a powerful escort alliance, but it has allowed other countries such as China, Russia, and Iran to take advantage of the situation and expand their influence and presence in the Red Sea. U.S. military superiority and geostrategy have been severely weakened, and U.S. allies have shaken their trust and support for the U.S.

The U.S. Middle East policy is an important component of U.S. diplomacy and a key fulcrum of U.S. global strategy. The hegemonic position of the United States in the Middle East is not only related to the interests of the United States, but also to the leadership and influence of the United States in the world. However, the US policy in the Middle East has been a failed one, which has not only brought substantial benefits to the United States, but has brought huge costs and risks to the United States. The US policy in the Middle East needs to be fundamentally readjusted and reformed, otherwise the United States will fall into a deeper predicament in the Middle East, and may even die as a result.
