The SJTU-Nanyang EMBA (Chinese) Program, jointly developed by Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China and Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, aims to cultivate leaders with a global perspective and sustainable development. In July 2002, the Office of China's Academic Degrees Committee approved 30 domestic universities as EMBA education and training institutions, and launched the pilot work of the professional degree of Executive MBA, opening the first year of EMBA education in China. In the same year, the SJTU-Nanyang EMBA (Chinese) program was approved by the Ministry of Education of China as one of the first Sino-foreign cooperative education projects. Shanghai Jiao Tong University is one of the oldest and well-known institutions of higher learning in China, and is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of China and jointly established by Shanghai. The predecessor of Antai College of Economics and Management of Shanghai Jiao Tong University can be traced back to 1903 as the "Nanyang College of Higher Commerce", which has a glorious history and tradition. 3. Degree certificate
Students are required to attend the course on time and pass the course assessment in order to receive the corresponding credits. Students who meet the graduation requirements will be awarded a Master of Business Administration degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, which is internationally recognised with the approval number MOE31SG1A20020510O from the Ministry of Education of China.
Fourth, the curriculum
Positioned as "Rooted in Asia, Global", the program provides a macro international perspective and forward-looking management knowledge to help students explore their own potential, cultivate innovative thinking, and calmly face the competition and challenges in the global business environment. The curriculum is structured into three modules: Leadership, Business Function, Environment and Technology, allowing students to experience management thinking from different perspectives from the East and the West through classroom learning.
The duration of the program is two years (non-part-time on-the-job learning) and classes are usually held four days a month (Thursday to Sunday). Classes are taught in Chinese, with Chinese translation and Chinese materials if taught in English. Students study at Nanyang Business School of Nanyang Technological University for two semesters (including the initial part) and the rest of the courses are conducted at Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
5. Faculty lineup
The SJTU-Nanyang EMBA Program connects two world-class universities, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, bringing together the top faculty of the two business schools and a global alumni platform. Most of the professors have PhDs from well-known universities at home and abroad and rich teaching experience in business schools, and have the strategic thinking of combining advanced management theories with Chinese management practices, forming a unique teaching model to tailor an international curriculum based in China for EMBA students.
6. Enrollment plan and enrollment time
In 2024, it is planned to enroll 1 class, and the enrollment will start in September 2024.
VII. Application Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in national education;
2. Have at least 8 years of work experience, of which at least 5 years in management positions.
8. Tuition fee
1. The duration of study is 2 years (non-full-time on-the-job study), using a weekend to concentrate on four days (Thursday to Sunday) or two days (Saturday and Sunday) of study, which is subject to the course schedule;
2. Tuition fees include registration fees, lecture fees, textbook fees, translation fees, examination fees, student ID fees and copyright fees, etc., excluding accommodation and transportation expenses;
3. Application fee: 1,500 RMB;
4. Please refer to the Admission Agreement for the time and details of tuition payment, and applicants can apply for tuition loans according to the relevant agreements between Shanghai Jiao Tong University and cooperative banks.
5. After registration, if the student withdraws from the study for any reason, or is removed due to disciplinary violations, the tuition fee will not be refunded.
9. Entrance Examination and Admission Process
Exam Method::The entrance examination is organized by the project committees of the two institutions, and consists of two parts: an interview and a written test.
