Demotion and appointment, the company commander is happy to be a bad subordinate
There was a person who used to be a company commander, who was assigned by the leader to serve as a platoon commander in another unit, and it seemed that he had been demoted. But when he saw his soldiers, he couldn't stop talking.
Why is that?
In a small mountain village in Jinzhai County, Anhui Province, a child named Teng Haiqing was born in 1909. Although his parents did not have a higher education, they knew the idiom "Haiyan River is clear", which means peace and clarity.
Due to the frequent wars at that time, they hoped that the child could bring peace, so they named him "Haiqing", which symbolizes their hope for a better future.
Responsibilities and responsibilities of the boss: Teng Haiqing, a patriarch with seven younger siblings, began to herd cattle in the landlord's house at the age of seven for the sake of the family, in order to supplement the family.
Although living in poverty, the family firmly believed that only through reading could they change their fate, so Teng Haiqing's parents tried their best to borrow money to let the eldest go to school, just to give him a better future.
Teng Haiqing's love for reading made him feel excited to go to the school every day to read the "Three Character Classic", and his ingenuity enabled him to learn the entire "Three Character Classic" in just one month.
Although his parents wanted to continue his education, they could not afford it due to the family's financial constraints. Although Teng Haiqing was very reluctant to go to school, he returned to the village and began his life as a cattle herder and farmer.
Although this small mountain village limited his range of activities, it did not dampen his curiosity about the wide world. When he was 15 years old, he made a decision that he wanted to leave the village and go to the county seat to see the world.
Teng Haiqing, a stubborn teenager born in the countryside, has a bold dream, that is, to "go outside". However, his parents, both honest farmers, disagreed with him.
Teng Haiqing did not give up, but chose to "cut first and then play" and secretly left his hometown. Although only a teenager, he decided that he wanted to take control of his future.
He came to the unfamiliar Huoshan County in western Anhui and found a job burning charcoal. Although this job is hard, Teng Haiqing has an excellent spirit of hardship and hard work, and he works hard every day just to make more money, so that his parents can live a better life, and his younger siblings have the opportunity to go to school.
In Huoshan County's life, he has more yearning for the bigger world outside, and has been waiting for opportunities to go farther. Finally, in 1929, when the opportunity came, China's first minority Red Army was formed, Teng Haiqing seized the opportunity and decided to leave Huoshan County to pursue his dream.
In the same year, a detachment of the Red Army came to Huoshan County, where Teng Haiqing worked. The local people welcomed the Red Army, because the Red Army was a lifeline in their hearts, and with the protection of the Red Army, they were no longer afraid of the enemy's invasion.
The Red Army overthrew the landlords who oppressed the peasants and made them hand over the grain, which filled the people who had received the grain with a sense of gratitude to the Red Army. Looking at the heroic posture of the Red Army, Teng Haiqing had an idea in his heart, and this idea gradually became clear.
The blood stirring in his heart made him firm in his determination to protect his family and defend the country. Joining the army means that life and death are uncertain, and it means being separated from his family, but Teng Haiqing understands that only when there is a country can there be a home, and only by protecting the country can we protect a good family.
He resolutely announced to his parents: "I want to join the army!" Despite the reluctance of his parents, they expressed deep respect for his decision. Before leaving, he handed over the few clothes he had left to his charcoal-burning companions, and with fearless determination, he embarked on the road to join the army.
That year, at the age of twenty, he was honorably a partisan of the Red Army.
Teng Haiqing trains hard every day, no matter whether he gets up early or stays up late, he never complains about hardship. Soon, he mastered the basic tactics of the operation. In 1930, he was about to go to war, and he had only a silver shiny broadsword.
He used it to protect himself and his people. After the battle, he was praised by the partisan captain for his outstanding performance. At this time, he received the news of the establishment of the Soviet ** in his hometown and decided to return to join the Soviet movement.
Because of his outstanding performance in Huoshan, the person in charge at that time took a fancy to Teng Haiqing's firmness and reliability, so he handed over the position of captain of the Red Guards to him, and encouraged him: "Young man, come on!" ”
In May 1931, Teng Haiqing joined the 11th Division, and after a heavy battle, only 4 of his 8-member squad survived, and half of the deaths were killed.
The company commander came to visit them and directly asked a sharp question: "You only have 8 people, but you have lost 4 people, and there will be more sacrifices in the future, are you afraid?" ”
Faced with this question, Teng Haiqing replied firmly: "If you were afraid, you would not choose to join the Red Army!" ”
On the perilous battlefield, the company commander formed a death squad. Faced with this heavy task, Teng Haiqing did not hesitate to recommend himself, and after repeated persuasion by the company commander, he was finally able to join the team.
Since he joined the death squad, Teng Haiqing was always ready to sacrifice. When he was charging, he was unfortunately hit in the head by a stone, but fortunately he was rescued by his comrades in time.
During the treatment process, he was placed in the home of a fellow villager to recuperate from his injuries. At this time, not only did the high fever not go away, but his whole body was covered with chickenpox, but he was not depressed by this, and he only wanted to find the troops as soon as possible.
With great difficulty, he finally recovered his troops, and despite the dissuasion of the crowd, he insisted on joining the battle. Teng Haiqing's indomitable spirit touched his squad leader, so he was recommended to join the Chinese Communist Party.
Although he has been promoted several times in his career path, Teng Haiqing has been demoted from the position of company commander to platoon commander, what is the reason? No matter how many hardships and dangers lie ahead, Teng Haiqing has always rushed to the forefront without fear, and this spirit of sacrificing his life has enabled him to be promoted quickly.
He was first promoted to squad leader, and then was exceptionally promoted to deputy company commander, and when the company commander was seriously injured, he took over the duties of ** company commander. Although it is only **, Teng Haiqing's performance is amazing.
Under his leadership, they fought a remarkable victory, and in recognition of his dedication, he was transferred to the commander of the 5th Company of the 32nd Regiment.
Although Teng Haiqing had been promoted to company commander, he did not show any arrogance. In his eyes, whether it was a small soldier in the past or a company commander now, he always cared about the country and the people.
In June 1932, on this day, Teng Haiqing was leading his two red war horses to prepare to go outside to continue honing his riding skills. He was riding a horse, and as soon as he stepped on the door, he happened to meet Ni Zhiliang, the division commander at the time.
This Ni Zhiliang didn't know much about Teng Haiqing, and as soon as he saw him, he asked, "Which regiment are you from?" Teng Haiqing knew that the other party's position was higher than his own, so he immediately stood up straight, saluted the other party, and replied: "Report!"
I was the commander of the fifth company of the 32nd Regiment. ”
Oh? Ni Zhiliang nodded, his eyes fell on the two horses held by Teng Haiqing, and curiosity couldn't help but rise in his heart: "Comrade Company Commander, you are going to lead these two horses to the division commander and political commissar, right?" ”
Teng Haiqing turned his mind and said to Ni Zhiliang and the people around him with a smile: "That's the case, I want to use these two horses to improve my riding skills." "In that era, everything captured in the war had to be handed over, but Teng Haiqing kept these two horses privately.
He understood that although he was already a company commander, there was still room for improvement in riding, so he decided to make good use of the two horses for training.
1.At that time, Teng Haiqing didn't have time to go out for training, but he was arrested by the political commissar and Ni Zhiliang. Teng Haiqing reacted quickly, Ni Zhiliang did not pursue his behavior of not reporting, but just looked at him and smiled"The commander of these five companies is really clever. "
After that, Ni Zhiliang asked people to take away the two red war horses, and Teng Haiqing could only watch the horses being taken away. Teng Haiqing thought that his fate with Ni Zhiliang would be over, but he didn't expect that ten days later, his fate would take a turn.
After he returned to the unit, he suddenly received an order from his superiors to pack his belongings and prepare to report to the division headquarters. 2.Teng Haiqing was still hesitating whether to go out for training, but he was bumped into by the political commissar and Ni Zhiliang.
Fortunately, Teng Haiqing reacted quickly, and Ni Zhiliang did not pursue his behavior without reporting, but just looked at him with a smile: "This fifth company commander is really clever." ”
After that, Ni Zhiliang asked people to take away the two red war horses, and Teng Haiqing could only watch the horses being taken away. He thought that his fate with Ni Zhiliang would be over, but he didn't expect that ten days later, things would take a turn for the better.
After he returned to the unit, he suddenly received an order to pack his belongings and prepare to report to the division headquarters. 3.Teng Haiqing was about to go out for training, when he ran into the political commissar and Ni Zhiliang.
Fortunately, Teng Haiqing reacted quickly, and Ni Zhiliang did not pursue his behavior without reporting, but just looked at him and smiled: "This fifth company commander is very smart." After that, Ni Zhiliang asked people to take away the two red war horses, and Teng Haiqing could only watch the horses being taken away.
He thought that his fate with Ni Zhiliang would be over, but he didn't expect that ten days later, things would take a turn for the better. After he returned to the unit, he suddenly received an order to pack his belongings and prepare to report to the division headquarters.
Hearing this news, Teng Haiqing was extremely surprised and puzzled, and he found the battalion commander to ask the reason if he had done something wrong. In this regard, the battalion commander explained: "It was not my decision to transfer you, but an order from the regimental headquarters. ”
Then, Teng Haiqing found the regiment commander with the letter of introduction given to him by the battalion commander, and the regiment commander's reaction was the same as that of the battalion commander, he said: "I don't know about this matter, this is an order from the division headquarters." ”
Teng Haiqing, who was worried, came to the division headquarters, but he didn't expect that the person waiting for him in the division office turned out to be Ni Zhiliang.
Ni Zhiliang said to Teng Haiqing with a smile on his face: "I plan to make you the platoon commander of the communication team of the division headquarters. But he immediately retracted, "You won't be unhappy, will you?" When Teng Haiqing heard this, he was so excited that he almost jumped up, ** would care about his "demotion".
He admired Ni Zhiliang's attitude very much, and only told him to work hard without revealing the truth. After arriving at the signal team at the division headquarters, Teng Haiqing still adhered to the concept of being responsible for each soldier, but when he saw his subordinates, he smiled from ear to ear.
Teng Haiqing's new position, the divisional communications team, is very unique and consists of two platoons. The first platoon, with only battalion and company cadres, and no ordinary soldiers. The second platoon is an excellent squad leader selected by the person in charge from all over the country, and after intensive training, he serves as the platoon commander of each company.
It seems that Teng Haiqing has been demoted from company commander to platoon commander, but it is actually Ming"Drop"Dark"liters", he is responsible for the management of battalion and company cadres and the training of talents. However, Teng Haiqing has done his job well anywhere and has never expressed dissatisfaction with the change.
In July 1932, the Kuomintang adopted a four-way strategy of encirclement and suppression, and launched a ruthless attack on the Red Army. Although the Red Army was faced with a huge disadvantage in equipment and strength, they did not give up, but quickly organized their forces, mobilized the strongest firepower units, and launched a courageous "anti-encirclement and suppression" operation.
However, due to the huge disparity in strength between the two sides, although the Red Army showed heroic and fearless dedication, it was also increasing. In October of the same year, Teng Haiqing was unfortunately wounded in a fierce battle with the Kuomintang army.
His eyes were blind in the smoke of gunfire, his two front teeth were blown off, and his lips were cracked open. Worst of all, he suffered a severe injury to his right hand and could face amputation if left untreated.
Due to the severity of his injuries, his comrades could only hide him in a hidden place to heal his wounds. But the Kuomintang was still catching up, they could not stop, and Teng Haiqing's leadership, despite his deep grief, made a decision: each wounded man would be given three oceans to heal his wounds.
Teng Haiqing was seriously injured on the battlefield, and although he was assigned to the ocean, he hoped to return to the army and fight side by side with his comrades. He was convinced that he would spend time in the army even if he faced life and death.
With amazing perseverance, Teng Haiqing limped after the traces of the troops, and finally joined the team in the town of Meridian in Shaanxi after hardships. His comrades-in-arms were shocked to see his tenacity.
After **, Teng Haiqing once again asked to return to the battlefield, his mental state and perseverance made Ni Zhiliang see the firmness and perseverance of the Chinese.
He immediately sent someone to prepare a new set of clothes and shoes for Teng Haiqing, which made Teng Haiqing deeply moved, and his eyes were full of tears. Despite his discomfort, he remained steadfast in the fight.
In 1932, Teng Haiqing participated in the anti-"six-way siege" operation, and he never showed a trace of flinch in the face of fierce enemy fire. In this extremely difficult counter-operation, Teng Haiqing was unfortunately shot in the throat by a bullet and flew out of the back of his neck at the same time.
He didn't have time to react, just felt the darkness in front of him and fainted. You must know that the throat and the back of the neck are very important parts of the human body, and after such a serious injury, Teng Haiqing didn't know if he would be able to survive.
Originally, I thought that Teng Haiqing would not survive, but he stubbornly held out until the arrival of the hygienist. After a series of emergency surgeries, Teng Haiqing's fate was saved.
Although he saved a life, he also paid a lot of price. The nerves in his larynx were severely damaged and he was almost kept alive on a liquid diet. And due to the sequelae of the injury, the left half of his body has been completely paralyzed, and he can't control his left hand and left leg.
Even everyday things like going to the toilet and eating, he needs help from others to get them done. This time he was hospitalized, and for two whole months, he was fighting against the disease.
In the past two months, Teng Haiqing was anxious because he failed to go into battle to kill the enemy. He continued to undergo rehabilitation and hoped that he would be discharged from the hospital and return to the army as soon as his physical condition permitted. During his career in the Anti-Japanese War, Teng Haiqing experienced many injuries and escapes from death, and his body was covered with scars, but this did not stop him from pursuing supreme honor.
In 1949, New China was established with great attention, and watching the five-star red flag rising, Teng Haiqing burst into tears. He remembered his family, especially his mother, who died forever in the winter of 1932 because she was seriously ill and could not afford a doctor.
In 1933, his father and younger brother were imprisoned in the county at the same time. After a year of torture, my father died with regret and was full of illness. Although the younger brother was released on bail, his life was difficult, and the rest of his family disappeared or died.
Teng Haiqing was full of grief and indignation, and the war was ruthless, and he understood this more deeply than anyone else. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he still ran where the motherland needed him, and became the principal of the Shijiazhuang Infantry School in 1954, providing a steady stream of talents for the country.
In 1955, he was awarded the rank of "Lieutenant General" for his outstanding experience in the Anti-Japanese War and his heroic and fearless spirit.
Teng Haiqing, a scarred veteran of the Anti-Japanese War, joined the army at the age of 20 and did not officially retire until he was 78 years old. His years have experienced the smoke and tempering of war, although his face is full of wrinkles, but when he talks about those beacon years, his eyes still shine like a young man.
He recounted how he struggled to catch up with his troops, how he won more with less, and how he thought he was going to die when a bullet went through his throat. Despite the pain of his later years, he never cried out of pain, but tears slowly slipped down his eyes when he recalled his broken family and sacrificed comrades.
His story is like a tragic poem, which makes people deeply feel the cruelty of war and the tenacity of life.
In 1988, Teng Haiqing was awarded the First Class Red Star Meritorious Service Medal. In 1997, 88-year-old Teng Haiqing passed away peacefully in Beijing, completing his brilliant and extraordinary life.
Although he has passed away forever, he has left behind an indelible pride and spirit that deserves to be passed on, learned and remembered forever from generation to generation.
