Among the cultural workers in Ningbo, we also found several people born in the Year of the Dragon who coincided with the year of their natal life. Among them are the restorers of ancient books from Tianyi Pavilion, the chief performer of the Ningbo Symphony Orchestra, and the inheritors of local intangible cultural heritage.

In different positions, they each realize their self-worth and usher in their "better and better year by year". Several of them are "new Ningbo people", and they are also becoming more and more deeply integrated into the blood of the city, deriving new happiness stories, let's take a look.

On the eve of the Spring Festival, Xie Longlong repaired ancient books in Tianyi Pavilion.

"I was born in the Year of the Dragon, so I am called 'Dragon Dragon'".

Xie Longlong, who does ancient book restoration work in Tianyi Pavilion, has an introverted personality and is not good at words, but he has strong hands-on ability, is good at "carving carefully", and is quite famous in and out of the circle.

I was born in 1988, which happened to be the Year of the Dragon. At that time, my mother said that it was called 'Xiaolong', and when I registered, everyone said that it might not be appropriate to call it so when I grew up, so I called it 'Longlong'. ”

As a child, he would try to draw dragons on paper. When I was in the first and second grades of elementary school, I was taught by an art teacher. His dragon is a little fat and looks a little cute.

After graduating from Nanjing Jinling Institute of Science and Technology in 2011 with a major in ancient book restoration, he has been working on ancient book restoration in Tianyi Pavilion for 13 years.

He is one of the few male members of the Tianyi Pavilion Ancient Book Restorer, who hunches on a case more than two meters long every day, holding tools to carefully fill the holes in the pages of ancient books, day after day, year after year.

Last year, a total of 8 books with 15 volumes and more than 1,600 pages were restored, mainly rare books of the Ming and Qing dynasties collected by Tianyi Pavilion, such as "Selected Writings of Mr. Yangming in the New Magazine", "Baishiye Manuscript", "Mr. Kuo'an's Poetry Collection" and so on; There are also rare books from the Yuan Dynasty, such as "Liu Xiang Shuoyuan"; The Ming Dynasty's "Han Poetry Biography" is copper movable type, and Zhang Dai's "Shikui Book" is a manuscript, which is also relatively precious. Xie Longlong said and opened his "annual collection restoration list".

Recently, I am working on "Ming Wenhai", which is a collection of articles from various families in the Ming Dynasty compiled by Huang Zongxi in the Qing Dynasty, with a total of 6 volumes and about 500 pages. The book is more like a bound book, with different fonts and different papers. The main paper of the whole book is bamboo paper, which has different colors and thicknesses, and is also mixed with a small amount of leather paper. It's been a month since it was done, and now the repair progress is 2 to 3. ”

Xie Longlong, a native of Haimen, Nantong, Jiangsu, plans to take a four- or five-hour bus home on the first day of the Lunar New Year and come back on the fourth day of the Lunar New Year. "After the Spring Festival, in another week, I will be able to finish the whole set of books. ”

Xie Longlong's "Ming Wen Hai" is being repaired.

Xie Longlong is now the municipal intangible cultural heritage inheritor of Tianyi Pavilion's ancient book restoration skills. "The wish of the natal year is to continue to repair ancient books, and if I have time, I want to finish my hobby, a set of models that have not been done for a long time. I also hope to have a vacation where I can go and see the scenery I like. ”

Play the "symphony" of life

Huang Chenling is the principal viola of the Ningbo Symphony Orchestra. As a Shanghainese who graduated from the National School of Lyon, France, Huang Chenling resigned from the Opéra de Lyon to join the Ningbo Symphony Orchestra in 2016, and in just two years, he settled in Ningbo and came to live in Ningbo with his high school classmate and wife, who is also from Shanghai.

At the time of the interview, there was a ding-dong piano sound on the other end, and it was his 6-year-old daughter practicing at home.

New Year's Eve is the busiest time for symphony orchestras. Throughout January and early February, "there was an average of one show every two or three days". From the New Year's party in Ningbo to the Spring Festival Gala in Yinzhou, Haishu, Zhenhai and other districts (counties and cities). The most exaggerated days, the first day was performed in Hangzhou Bay, the next night in Shanghai to play the "Blossoming Flowers, Rural Charm" ** meeting, after returning to the city overnight, the third day at noon arrived at the Ningbo Spring Festival Gala live synthesis rehearsal, until two days later to complete the performance.

However, the pressure of the Spring Festival performance is relatively not as great as that of the season, and the pieces are all familiar, mainly lively and joyful, creating a sense of atmosphere, such as "Spring Festival Overture", various 'polkas', excerpts from "The Nutcracker", etc., and there is less rehearsal time. ”

As a "new Ningbo native" who settled in Ningbo because of the symphony orchestra, Huang Chenling's impression of Ningbo is still very good.

In our orchestra, most of the members are not native to Ningbo, we were attracted by this orchestra and the city, and decided to settle down in Ningbo. In his eyes, Ningbo is a very charming city with a good atmosphere. "We know that an excellent symphony orchestra is not only a city's business card, but also can promote the popularization of classical music and improve the appreciation level of citizens, especially children. ”

At present, Huang Chenling has two children, his sister is 6 years old and his younger brother is 2 years old, and it is time to be naughty. "I felt very satisfied, the days went by, a little tired, but fulfilling. I hope to spend more time with my children in the new year. Huang Chen ordered a proper "daddy" tone.

The bowl is nailed with dragons, and the porcelain is embroidered

Ying Peiming is the representative inheritor of Ningbo Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage Nail Bowl Skills, born in July 1964, and is 60 years old this year.

Since 1997, he has been collecting porcelain, researching porcelain, and repairing porcelain. In March 2010, he went to Jingdezhen to study the nail bowl skills, and worshiped Cao Kaiyin, the master of ancient ceramics restoration in Jingdezhen, as his teacher, and repaired porcelain for many ancient porcelain collectors after completing his studies, which was well received by the majority of Tibetan friends.

Ying Peiming now mainly works at the Yinzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum located in Xiaying Street. This place of "big hidden in the city" will start in the summer of 2022, because of its popularity on Xiaohongshu, it will usher in a "blowout" of the largest amount. According to the data on the entrance registration, in the whole year of 2023, the number of visitors to the Yinzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum will reach 90,000, "not including many children who have not registered." Ying Peiming's tone sounded a little excited.

Basically, they are young people, there are many people on Saturdays and Sundays, and there are also many parents who bring their children to experience various intangible cultural heritage, making bamboo weaving, making sachets, dough sculptures and so on. ”

In order to welcome the Year of the Dragon, Ying Peiming specially made the "dragon" pattern on the nail bowl, "I 'reproduced' it from the Yue kiln celadon of the Northern Song Dynasty." In order to consolidate this hobby, Ying Peiming has been to the Shanglinhu Yue Kiln Ruins Museum many times, and has also been to the warehouse of the Ningbo Cultural Heritage Management Research Institute to study and observe. "This 'dragon' from the Northern Song Dynasty still seems to be aesthetic today.

If I wish for the New Year, I hope that next year the Yinzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum will be better, and more people will come to experience, feel and like intangible cultural heritage. There are also some students who are learning to nail bowls with me, usually for a year or two, and if possible, I hope to have more students! Ying Peiming said.
