The exhibition is co-directed by the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, the Zhongshan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, and the Guangdong Artists Association, sponsored by the Guangzhou Sculpture Institute and the Zhongshan Art Museum, and co-organized by the Zhongshan Artists Association and the Zhongshan Calligraphers Association. The exhibition will be on view at the Sun Yat-sen Art Museum until February 28.
"Sculpture of Intangible Cultural Heritage" focuses on the first batch of 51 intangible cultural heritage sculpture creations of Guangzhou Sculpture Institute, covering 27 items in eight categories of intangible cultural heritage: "folk literature", "folk customs", "tradition", "traditional drama", "quyi", "traditional dance", "traditional sports, amusement and acrobatics" and "traditional skills". "Xianglong Xianrui" exhibits 41 calligraphy and painting works of Zhongshan artists with the theme of the New Year, bringing together the calligraphy and painting masterpieces of Zhongshan artists, with a distinctive creative style and a unique observation perspective, inheriting the charm of Lingnan and painting the beauty of Lingnan.
The exhibition highlights the rich expression of important themes such as traditional culture, the spirit of the times, and people's happy life, tells the resonant and affectionate stories of Lingnan, intangible cultural heritage, and the Bay Area, draws nutrition and wisdom from the excellent traditional Chinese culture, and gives traditional culture a new connotation of the times and rejuvenates urban culture. Through inter-library exchanges, we will promote the sharing and mutual learning of art resources between Guangzhou and Zhongshan, and promote the high-quality development of public cultural services in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
It is reported that in order to enhance the openness of the exhibition and the sense of public participation, deepen the understanding and appreciation of the works, and enhance people's attention and understanding of the intangible cultural heritage projects in the Lingnan area, six outdoor sculptures with intangible cultural heritage themes are placed in an orderly manner in the outdoor square at the main entrance of the Sun Yat-sen Art Museum, and citizens and tourists are welcome to come to the exhibition to check in.
