This Salar dwelling, located in Tuanjie Village, Jiezi Township, Xunhua County, is a typical dwelling in the late Qing Dynasty. It covers an area of six points, adopts a square house layout, mainly civil engineering structure, a flat-roofed courtyard house, surrounded by high walls, and enclosed by loess plate ramming. The main building in the courtyard is composed of the main gate, the north wing, the east, west and south side rooms and the northeast corner tower. The Middle East side room was built after the liberation, while the other rooms were built in the last years of the Qing Dynasty and have a long time.
The gate building is one wide and two deep, with two door openings, and the door opens to the west. The door leaf is made of double-leaf pivot checkered door, plastered with plaster, and the tenon is fine. The eaves are carved with flower and leaf patterns, which are exquisite. The west side house is built on both sides of the doorway, one deep one, and the gate is lined up, facing east, and there is a partridge head carving on the ridge. The architectural style of the south annex room is the same as that of the west room. The northeast corner tower is a two-room type, with a flat roof and a fine and straight material. The three north wings are the main building of the courtyard, with a flat roof and a cement plastered tenon front desk. There is an arc-shaped box between the two sides, and the beam purlin belt follows the beam purlin, and the double checkerboard door and small checkered window are placed, which is finely made. There are eight flower and fruit patterns carved on the eaves, and the pattern is delicate and beautiful.
This Salar dwelling built at the end of the Qing Dynasty not only has historical value, but also shows the unique ethnic culture of the Salar people. It is one of the most typical Salar dwellings, which is of great significance for understanding and studying the history and culture of the Salar people. Therefore, this dwelling has a very important conservation value.
