Just after the Spring Festival of the Year of the Dragon, when people were immersed in the joyful and festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival, the author was invited to Li Yitian's house on the eighth day of the first lunar month. As soon as I arrived at the gate, I met Li Yitian's wife Du Qingfen, who was basking in the sun in a wheelchair, and she greeted her warmly when she saw the arrival of the author.
When I walked into Li Yitian's room, the author was suddenly surprised by the furnishings and scenery here, although I live in a garden-like community in Sanbao Town, Tongshan District, Xuzhou City, but the home can be described as poor with four walls, a bedroom facing the door, in order to facilitate my wife to bask in the sun, and when she is bored to look at the scenery outside the window, a living room next to the bathroom and kitchen, except for an old TV and a worn-out bicycle, there is no decent furniture and supplies at home, When the author walked into the house, and Li Yitian sat at the dining table and reception table, a cup of hot tea suddenly warmed the author's heart, with deep respect, the author walked into Li Yitian's inner world ......

I was born in New China, grew up under the red flag, stood guard in military uniform, and now all this is very good for me! Li Yitian's simple opening remarks opened the "chatterbox" of dialogue between us.
In April 1952, Li Yitian was born in a poor peasant family in Jiuduan Village, Mapo Township, Tongshan County, his parents were ordinary farmers in his hometown, and there were seven brothers and sisters in the family.
My family has a large population and a hard life, and I am very happy to be admitted to high school," Li Yitian said.

Joining the army and returning to his hometown not only exercised his optimistic and resolute character, but also laid a solid foundation for his later calligraphy and painting career.
At that time, everything was chaotic for us students, and at the same time, it added a lot of worries to our future life. Looking back on the past, Li Yitian is still embarrassed.
In April 1968, with the consent of his parents, after a physical examination and a recommendation from the brigade, Li Yitian put on a military uniform and walked into the tank unit of the Beijing Military Region in Beidaihe, and became a gun commander of the tank company. Due to his high level of hydration, it has become his "main business" to report on the blackboard in the company.
At that time, every time the group held a blackboard newspaper competition, the blackboard newspaper produced by himself would win awards in every competition, which also laid a solid foundation for his future calligraphy and painting life. Speaking of this, Li Yitian's eyes were full of pride.

It didn't take long for Li Yitian to start studying calligraphy and painting again, studying flowers and birds and landscape painting under the tutelage of Mr. Jiang Zhou, a famous contemporary painting and calligraphy artist.
In 1983, he entered Mr. Jiang Zhou's tutelage to further study flowers and birds, as well as landscape painting.

I tried my best to take care of my paralyzed wife).
Entering the barracks, being enthusiastic about public welfare, indifferent to fame and fortune, perseverance and sense of responsibility have made him a respected master of calligraphy and painting.
As the saying goes, the painting is the character, and if the character is not high, the painting will not be high. As a painter with a real level, he must not only have a high attainment in professional skills, but also improve his ideological character and cultural accomplishment.
Li Yitian is such a person, those who know him know that he is an upright, honest and credible, indifferent to fame and fortune, perseverance and a strong sense of dedication and responsibility: in 2002, his wife Du Qingfen suffered from wind paralysis, and all the burdens of the family fell on him alone. His works such as "High Wind and Bright Festival" (ink bamboo), "Purple Grapes", "Dajitu", etc., as well as some other landscape paintings, have new breakthroughs and are impressive.
