The Five Emperors refer to the Yellow Emperor, Emperor Zhuan, Emperor Yu, Emperor Yao, and Emperor Shun.
Different from other theories or general impressions, the five emperors in the "Historical Records" are actually a family, and their relationship is as follows:
The Yellow Emperor, surnamed Gongsun, is named Xuanyuan. His country name was "Youxiong".
The country name of the emperor is "Gaoyang".
The name of the emperor's country is "Gaoxin".
Di Yao, whose name is Fang Xun, and his country name is "Tao Tang".
Di Shun, whose name is Chonghua, and his country name is "Youyu".
The five emperors are all sons of heaven who have high morality, wisdom, talent, governance ability and other excellent qualities, which convince the princes and the people. In the process of leading the people to fight against the harsh nature, we should grasp the objective laws of nature, better develop production, and let the people's lives be stable and have a sense of gain.
Among them, the Yellow Emperor, when the leadership of the Shennong clan was weakened, defeated the Yan Emperor by uniting the princes and fighting three battles in the field of Hanquan; A big battle in the field of Zhuolu, capture and kill Chiyou. Quell the rebellion of the princes and take the lead. As a result, Xuanyuan was respected as the Son of Heaven by the princes of the world, replacing Shennong's and becoming the "Yellow Emperor".
Emperor Xuanyuan was called the Yellow Emperor because of the auspiciousness of "Tude" during his reign.
Di Yao organized the determination of the center of the four seasons, namely: spring equinox, summer solstice, autumn equinox, and winter solstice, so that the people could arrange agricultural production more scientifically and rationally; The observational assay is 366 days a year.
Correctly choose Shun as his ** person. When his subordinates suggested that Yao's eldest son Danzhu be chosen as Yao's **, Yao thought that his son's talent was not enough to take on the heavy responsibility of managing the world. Later, through multiple investigations and overall considerations, Shun was finally selected as the best person.
Yao lived a long life. He reigned for seventy years, and then let Shun live another twenty-eight years after regent, so he should live to be more than a hundred years old.
Shun was known for his filial piety when he was twenty years old. Shun's mother died very early, and his father continued the strings, and he liked this step-wife and her son very much. Shun's stepmother didn't like Shun very much, so they teamed up to reject Shun and always wanted to kill him. Shun's attitude is: if you want to kill him, he will run, beat him and scold him, filial piety to his parents, love his younger brother and do not discount. They wanted to kill him and couldn't find an excuse.
Although Shun is a descendant of Emperor Zhuan, he is already an ordinary person in his generation. Shun has a strong ability to work. Farming, fishing, pottery and other production and living utensils, and even trading are all good hands.
Shun used the "Eight Kai" and "Eight Yuan" 16 virtuous families, and exiled the four fierce clans of "Chaos", "Poor Qi", "Han Qi" and "Gluttony". According to the strengths of each person, Shun divided the labor among the ten ministers appointed by Yao, namely Yu, Gaotao, Qi, Houji, Boyi, Long, Qi, Yi, and Pengzu, as well as the twelve state ministers at that time, so that they could better display their talents and manage the world.
Shun also lived a long life, and should have lived to be a hundred years old. At the age of eighty-three, Yu selected the first person - Yu.
The Five Emperors are not only far away from us, but also far away from Sima Qian. Due to the technology at that time, there was no way to record more deeds of the Five Emperors. In word of mouth, memories become more and more blurred, so that deeds become more and more blurred, so reality slowly intertwines with myth. Sima Qian also synthesized the scales and half-claws scattered in various classics, and wrote a rather rough "Ji" of the five emperors in the narration of the elders from all over the world.
