On February 20, the Singapore Airshow kicked off at the Changi Convention and Exhibition Center, with two C919 aircraft and three ARJ21 aircraft making their debut, and presenting the phased achievements of China's commercial aircraft development to the public through various methods such as model exhibitions in the museum, outdoor static displays and flight shows.

It is understood that China Eastern Airlines C919 large passenger aircraft is China's first jet trunk airliner developed in accordance with international airworthiness standards and has independent intellectual property rights, and ARJ21 is COMAC's first self-produced turbofan regional airliner, which is usually used for shorter route flight missions.

Among them, the property rights of the C919 are owned by COMAC, and the COMAC team is also the core in the research and development process, and the key links such as the design, flight test and sales of C919 are mastered by COMAC, and COMAC has the right to choose engines, avionics core processing systems, raw materials, etc., and at present, all parts of the C919 fuselage, wings, vertical tails and other structural parts are produced by AVIC, COMAC's subordinate subgroups and central enterprise research institutes.

At present, there are more than 200 enterprises involved in the research and development of C919 supporting products, and some enterprises are directly involved in the research and development and manufacturing of products in many fields such as aviation standard parts, contactors, secondary power supplies and aviation forgings. Baosteel has successfully developed and produced 300m high-strength steel and passed the certification of COMAC and Liebherr Group, which marks that Baosteel has become the leading supplier of landing gear products for C919 and subsequent C929 wide-body passenger aircraft. With the continuation of COMAC's development idea of "Chinese design, system integration, global bidding, and gradual improvement of localization", in the future, aero engines, avionics electrical systems and other products will gradually achieve import substitution, and the proportion of domestic value of C919 aircraft will gradually increase.
