Soccer is a team sport in which 11 players from each team are played on a rectangular grassy field, with the goal of kicking the ball into the opposing goal. The rules and basic common sense of football matches are as follows:
1.Playing field and time
A standard football field is 100-110 meters long and 64-75 meters wide.
The game lasts 90 minutes and is divided into two halves of 45 minutes each.
Take a 15-minute break in between.
2.Players and equipment
Each team must have no more than 11 players, including one goalkeeper.
Players must wear jerseys, shorts, socks, boots and shin guards.
Goalkeepers are allowed to wear gloves.
3.The game starts and ends
At the beginning of the game, the referee blows the whistle on the court.
The end of the game is signaled by the referee blowing the whistle.
4.The basic rules of the game
During the game, players can only touch the ball with their feet, head, chest, shoulders and other parts of the body, and not with their hands.
Players can pass the ball to their teammates or dribble through on their own.
Players cannot commit fouls or they will be penalized by the referee.
Fouls include: kicking, pulling, pushing, tripping, jumping, punching, handball, etc.
The referee may show a yellow or red card warning to the player who committed the offending.
A yellow card warning indicates that players should be mindful of their behaviour.
A red card warning means that the player has been sent off and must not play again.
5.Goal
A goal is scored when the ball crosses the opponent's goal line.
After the goal was scored, the game resumed.
6.Win
At the end of the match, the team with the most points wins.
If both teams score the same score, the match is a draw.
7.Other basic common sense
Offside: An attacking player is in an offside position when he is closer to the opponent's goal line than the second-to-last defender (usually the goalkeeper) and there are fewer than two defenders between him and the second-to-last defender. If a player in an offside position receives a pass without being involved in the game, the referee will award an offside foul.
Throw-in: When the ball is completely off the sideline of the football pitch (on the ground or in the air), a throw-in is awarded to the opponent who made the last touch.
Throw-in: To take a throw-in, players must stand outside the perimeter line with both feet and throw the ball with both hands.
Corner: When a defender kicks the ball off the line, the attacking team gets a corner. Corner kicks are taken by the attacking player in the corner area.
Free Kick: When a defender commits a foul, the attacking team gets a free kick opportunity. Free kicks can be scored directly with a goal, or they can be combined with teammates for tactical coordination.
Penalty kick: When an attacking player is fouled in the box, the referee awards a penalty. Penalties are taken by the attacking player at the penalty spot.
