Thank you very much for your support! On May 8, 2009, Jiang Tengjiao passed away at the age of 90 in Chaoyang Hospital in Beijing due to lung disease. In the last part of his life, his family stayed with him as much as possible, and he often stared at the ceiling, which seemed a little uneasy.
His wife, Li Yanping, had sorrow in her eyes, so she asked him if he had any unfulfilled wishes. However, it was this sentence that made Jiang Tengjiao couldn't help but shed tears.
After a long silence, with tears of reluctance, he finally revealed to his family the wish that he had hidden in his heart for many years: "I want to wear the military uniform of 55 years again." ”
As Jiang Tengjiao's favorite, Li Yanping understood the importance of this military uniform to her husband, she held back her grief, held her husband's old and calloused hand tightly, and said tremblingly: "I will fulfill your wish, don't worry." ”
Jiang Tengjiao, as the youngest founding major general and a person who has made meritorious contributions to the revolution, loves this military uniform deeply, why was this only wish put forward again before his death?
Jiang Tengjiao's special affection for the Type 55 military uniform stems from his life experience. As one of the first generals to be awarded the rank of major general in the founding of the People's Republic of China, he wore a Type 55 military uniform to participate in the award ceremony and had a deep affection for military uniforms.
Although he has now been released from prison, whenever he sees someone wearing a Type 55 military uniform on TV, he will look at it with envy, and even his eyes will moisten. Although his mood changes were noticed by his partner Li Yanping, he still tried to hide his emotions.
When Li Yanping saw her husband's haggard face again, she asked like a knife, "Do you still want to wear that military uniform?" Hearing his wife's question, Jiang Tengjiao looked a little cramped, and then responded with loss: "Of course, I have always longed.
But will I still have such an opportunity? In 2009, Jiang Tengjiao's physical condition deteriorated, and he was sent to the top hospital in Beijing for acceptance.
After a period of time, although Jiang Tengjiao's physical condition has improved, the pain accumulated over the years still causes great pressure on his body. By May, Jiang Tengjiao's consciousness had become blurred, he had fallen into a coma for a long time, and the countdown to his life had quietly begun.
Jiang Tengjiao understood that his days were numbered, he clasped his wife Li Yanping's hand, and finally poured out his long-hidden wish, which is the scene at the beginning of the article. Then, Li Yanping immediately gathered the children together for a special discussion on this issue.
With the unanimous consent of the whole family, they decided to jointly draft a letter to the organization, in which Li Yanping detailed her husband's efforts to reform after he was released from prison, and made significant progress in his thinking and behavior, and specifically mentioned his request to wear the Type 55 military uniform again before his death.
However, the process of sending the letter did not go smoothly. At first, the prefecture-level ** took into account Jiang Tengjiao's past mistakes and refused to accept Li Yanping's letters many times. However, she did not give up, in order to fulfill her husband's last wish, she went to all levels many times.
With Li Yanping's unremitting efforts, the local ** finally received and valued this letter. After receiving the letter, the organization held a special meeting to discuss it, and after comprehensive consideration, it was held that Jiang Tengjiao had actively behaved, loved the party and the country, and had performed well after serving his sentence.
In view of his past contributions to the founding of the People's Republic of China, the organization decided to fulfill his last wish and put on the Type 55 military uniform after his death.
General Jiang Tengjiao's last wish is only to wear a Type 55 military uniform, what is the story behind this? Why was he deprived of the right to wear this uniform during his lifetime? It all started when he joined the revolution at a young age.
In 1919, Jiang Tengjiao was born in Huang'an, Hubei, where wars were frequent, life was difficult, and even the opportunity to study was a problem. However, that didn't stop him from growing.
On November 13, 1927, when the Jute Riot broke out, Jiang Tengjiao, who was only 8 years old, was deeply inspired by the spirit of the rebel army to fight hard for the revolution, and he was full of yearning to become a revolutionary soldier of the Communist Party.
In 1930, Jiang Tengjiao, who was only 12 years old, joined the Chinese Communist Youth League and officially became a "red ghost". Now, Li Yanping personally put on a 55-style military uniform for him, sorted out his remains, and said affectionately: "You can leave without regrets now." ”
Although Jiang Tengjiao was young, he acted calmly, and soon rose to prominence in the army, and was promoted to the captain of the Huang'an County Children's League, and soon served as the secretary of the Piyang County Children's Bureau in the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet District.
At a young age, he had already made a name for himself in the Soviet zone and became a veritable "small cadre." With the increasing tension of the revolutionary situation and the gradual reduction of the number of front-line combatants, Jiang Tengjiao actively responded to the party's call at this critical moment and threw himself into the front-line operations without hesitation.
He first worked behind enemy lines, taking care of wounds on the wounded, and as he grew up over time, he gradually stepped out of enemy lines and went to the front line, bravely meeting the enemy's bullets.
On the battlefield of Jiang Tengjiao, his understanding of war, which is difficult for ordinary people to achieve, enables him to always accurately complete the tasks assigned by the leader, and his bravery and fearlessness are invincible on the battlefield, making the enemy fearful.
For a time, Jiang Tengjiao's heroic deeds became a good story on the front line. During the Long March, Jiang Tengjiao was unable to advance and retreat with the Red 25th Army due to injury and illness, so he chose to stay in the Soviet area.
Soon, Gao Jingting formed the Red 28th Army, and Jiang Tengjiao joined this team. Despite the fact that this army is new and has a limited number of personnel, they have an excellent tradition of fighting and have always produced amazing results even in difficult times.
Chiang Kai-shek once sent 100,000 elite troops to encircle and suppress the Red 28th Army, but under the leadership of guerrilla expert Gao Jingting, they suffered a series of defeats, and Chiang Kai-shek's slogan before the war that he wanted to destroy this army became a laughing stock.
After this battle, the Red 28th Army rapidly expanded from less than 1,000 to 3,000 men. The young Jiang Tengjiao also grew up rapidly in it, becoming a commander with superb military literacy, and in 1937, he honorably joined the Chinese Communist Party, when he was only 18 years old.
During the Anti-Japanese War, Jiang Tengjiao resolutely transferred from the Red 28th Army to the 15th Regiment of the 5th Detachment of the New Fourth Army as an instructor. In the days that followed, he worked diligently in the 15th regiment, dealing with various military and political issues.
In 1939, he managed to annihilate more than 200 Japanese troops with only one company, and after the war he was promoted to instructor. In the spring of 1940, a reporter from the Political Department of the New Fourth Army asked to go to Lei Guan to carry out a reconnaissance mission, and Jiang Tengjiao decided to hand over his gun to him after careful consideration to ensure the safety of the reporter.
The test gun went off, and the reporter accidentally hit Jiang Tengjiao's bullet bag, causing **, resulting in an abdominal injury to him. After examination, the paramedics found that one shrapnel was shallow.
When Jiang Tengjiao heard it, he took it out directly with his hands, which surprised the reporter. Although the wound passed through, one bullet could not be removed, which caused him constant pain.
Therefore, the leadership decided to let him continue to command the operation while recuperating from his injuries in Takejin. In early May, under the care of Commander Luo Binghui, he went to the hospital of the Jiangbei command post to be operated on by Dr. Gong Naiquan, and successfully removed shrapnel from his body.
Jiang Tengjiao bravely killed the enemy on the battlefield, and his wounds were not completely healed, so he was appointed as the deputy director of the political department of the 13th Regiment of the 5th Brigade of the 2nd Division of the New Fourth Army. During the Liberation War, he served as the director of the Political Department of the 151st Division of the 38th Army of the 4th Field and participated in important battles such as Liaoshen and Pingjin.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Jiang Tengjiao successively served as political commissar of the 151st Division, director of the Political Department of the Army, and political commissar of the Air Defense Force and Air Force of the Guangzhou Military Region. By chance, he met his future wife, Li Yanping, and tied the knot in the presence of relatives and friends.
After marriage, their life was very sweet, and they had 8 children, which made their colleagues and relatives very envious.
In 1955, Jiang Tengjiao became the youngest major general at the first award ceremony of New China, wearing a 55-style military uniform, wearing the **81 Medal, the second-class Independent Freedom Medal, and the second-class Liberation Medal, with a bright future.
However, it was these accolades that made him complacent and even influenced his political career. Once a hero, now he has fallen from the altar. Jiang Tengjiao's love for military uniforms stems from his firm belief in the revolution and his deep love for the Communist Party.
This unique emotion makes him always like to wear the Type 55 military uniform on important occasions to express his loyalty.
Although Jiang Tengjiao's living conditions improved after the liberation, his care for military uniforms remained the same. He cherished military uniforms and did not allow anyone to touch or judge them. Once, an old comrade-in-arms saw him like this and said jokingly: "Jiang Tengjiao, your love for military uniforms has not changed." ”
However, Jiang Tengjiao's mentality and behavior were very different from those of the revolutionary period. He set up his own mountain, formed gangs, and had an extremely poor work style, isolating some people in the military area who did not cooperate with him.
He flattered the leader, and did everything he could to meet him in order to seek a better job. This arrogant and domineering style caused dissatisfaction within the military region, and many people reported his bad behavior to their superiors, and even received severe criticism after alarming ***.
I thought that Jiang Tengjiao would be reined in, but I didn't expect it to make him more unscrupulous, forgetting his original beliefs, and even doing some things that violated the laws of the party and the state.
On September 15, 1971, Jiang Tengjiao's heart was full of fear, and he mustered up the courage to confess his wrong behavior to his wife over the years. Listening to her husband's confession, Li Yanping became more and more worried, not knowing what the state would do with her husband.
In 1973, Jiang Tengjiao was placed on file for investigation for repeatedly participating in actions that were not conducive to the unity of the party. He was expelled from the party, removed from all official positions, and imprisoned.
lost the Type 55 military uniform he loved so much, the honors and awards he had received disappeared in an instant, and Jiang Tengjiao officially became a prisoner.
Jiang Tengjiao's family's life fell into a trough, Li Yanping felt desperate, thinking that Jiang Tengjiao might be sentenced to death, but she still endured the grief in her heart, took her 8 children, and waited for the verdict every day.
Because Jiang Tengjiao committed a felony, she lost her stable job and was sent to a farm in Hubei Province for reform. At the farm in Hubei, the closed environment and poor communication facilities prevented her from hearing from her husband in time, which made her anxious.
In order to relieve the tension, she kept telling herself to stay calm and seriously reform. She devotes herself to the daily work on the farm, and in her spare time, she will study hard to improve her ideological awareness.
In 1979, Li Yanping returned to Beijing after completing his renovation in rural Hubei Province to find that his once warm home was dilapidated and uninhabitable. So she borrowed to live in the house of her third daughter, although her daughter did not dislike her, but as a mother, she always felt guilty in her heart, because she has been renovating on the Hubei farm for many years, and has little time to participate in the growth of her children.
On January 25, 1981, Jiang Tengjiao was sentenced by the Supreme People's Court to 18 years in prison and deprived of political rights for five years. Li Yanping breathed a sigh of relief when she heard the news of the verdict, and her years of worries could finally be put aside temporarily, and she slept very deeply in her daughter's home.
At the same time, Jiang Tengjiao was serving his sentence in Qincheng Prison, and his physical condition was not good, and he could not be cured for a long time. Considering his contribution to the establishment of the party and the state during the revolutionary period, the organization decided to approve his medical parole to treat ** disease.
Li Yanping's problem was properly resolved, and after careful examination, it was confirmed that she did not know about Jiang Tengjiao's counterrevolutionary crimes, so her handling was not serious.
After her retirement, she was judged to be a 18th-level cadre and enjoyed the same treatment as a cadre of the same level. She can enjoy her old age with her husband Jiang Tengjiao in Taiyuan with peace of mind.
In their ordinary lives, Jiang Tengjiao and his wife often take a walk in the neighborhood and occasionally play Tai Chi together. When they are tired, they sit together and listen to other elderly people chatting, and they enjoy this simple and happy life.
Looking back on Jiang Tengjiao's life, he rose to prominence in the army and became a famous "red imp". He made an important contribution to the founding of New China, so at the age of 36 he received the rank of major general and wore a Type 55 military uniform.
Jiang Tengjiao was once a soldier during the revolutionary period, and his glorious experience was symbolized by this Type 55 military uniform. However, he went astray under the ** of power, committed a felony and lost the right to wear this military uniform.
Despite this, his love for the uniform never waned until with the help of his wife, he was able to put it on again after his death, fulfilling his lifelong wish.
This Type 55 military uniform is not only a reward for his military exploits, but also the glory of his military resume.
