How powerful is this dragon that boarded the Spring Festival Gala

Mondo Entertainment Updated on 2024-02-12

On February 9, representatives of the "Jiaolong" manned submersible team appeared on the stage of CCTV Spring Festival Gala. In the familiar cartoon interlude, share the happy moments of childhood and pay tribute to the "ocean dream" hidden deep in the heart.

In 2023, China's "Jiaolong Sea Exploration" has achieved frequent results, the "Dayang", "Dayang No. 1" and "Shenhai No. 1" ships have completed 4 ocean voyage survey tasks, and a number of "sea exploration tools" with independent intellectual property rights such as "Manta" and "Insight" have been ...... collaborative operationsIn particular, in July of that year, the Jiaolong manned submersible arrived at the 2022 operation site of the "Manta" to assess the environmental recovery status after the disturbance, continuously promote the improvement and perfection of deep-sea green collection technology, and help the ocean scientific research form a marine survey pattern of "multiple sea areas, multiple resources, and multi-ship operations".

The mysterious underwater world contains abundant resources and countless unsolved mysteries, in order to study the mysteries of the deep sea, Chinese scientists have worked hard to develop the manned submersible "Jiaolong".

On June 15, 2012, China's first large-depth manned submersible "Jiaolong" dived for the first time in the Mariana Trench, with a maximum depth of 6,671 meters. On June 24, Jiaolong broke through 7,000 meters for the first time and dived to 7,020 meters. On June 27, the "Jiaolong" dived to 7,062 meters, setting a new record for manned deep diving in China.

The big instrument is "late".

China's large-depth manned submersibles started late.

At the end of the 20th century, with the in-depth development of international investigation and research on seabed resources, the country's demand for manned submersibles became more and more urgent.

Prior to this, the United States, France, Russia, and Japan had mastered the technology of manned deep diving at great depths, and produced manned submersibles such as "Alvin", "Nautilus", "Heping 1" and "Deep Sea 6500".

In 2001, 10 academicians and 15 professor-level experts in the domestic marine community and the heads of the leading departments reached a consensus: to build China's own manned submersible with a depth of 7,000 meters.

On June 11, 2002, the Ministry of Science and Technology approved the "Request for Instructions on Launching a Major Project for 7,000-meter Manned Submersibles". At that time, the deepest manned submersible developed by China was only 600 meters. One step to an unprecedented depth of 7,000 meters seems to be "fantastic". As the forefront and commanding heights of China's marine technology development, manned submersibles have opened the road of Chinese-style independent innovation.

The Jiaolong manned submersible system includes the manned submersible body system, the manned submersible surface support system, the mother ship addition and modification system and the submarine training system, which is a complex large-scale system project.

In the process of research and development in the past ten years, researchers have overcome countless difficulties, achieved breakthroughs in 16 key technologies such as the ultimate bearing capacity of pressure-resistant spherical shells, as well as four major innovations such as near-bottom free navigation and hovering positioning, and made a qualitative leap in manned deep diving technology.

On September 1, 2007, with the cooperation of many departments, the manned submersible that many scientists had dreamed of countless times was finally assembled.

Since 2009, Jiaolong has carried out 1,000-meter, 3,000-meter, 5,000-meter, and 7,000-meter sea trials in different sea areas for four consecutive years. Step by step, the "Jiaolong" has achieved success in every sea trial.

Jiaolong "explores the sea."

From birth to use, Jiaolong can be divided into three stages: sea trial, experimental application and operational operation.

At the end of the sea trial in 2012, Jiaolong was transferred to the experimental application stage, building a stable and reliable platform for scientists to explore and study the deep sea, and cultivating a professional business support team.

During the five-year experimental application, the "Jiaolong" went to the South China Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Pacific Ocean, dived into seamounts, cold seep areas, hydrothermal areas, and mid-ocean ridges, and explored exploration areas for polymetallic nodules, polymetallic sulfides, polymetallic sulfides, and cobalt-rich crusts.

In 2017, after the completion of the experimental application voyage, the National Deep-sea Base Management Center launched the overall performance technology upgrade of the Jiaolong.

The comprehensive overhaul lasted 15 months, and Jiaolong completed a total of 9 categories of technical upgrades, including the whole life monitoring of the manned spherical shell structure, the design and construction of the frame structure adjustment, the improvement of the underwater lighting system, and the specification and increase of the operation interface.

Since then, the "Shenhai No. 1" ship has carried the "Jiaolong" to the South China Sea to carry out eight acceptance sea trials in two categories of technical upgrades; The "Shenhai No. 1" ship carried the "Jiaolong" to the abyssal area of the northwest Pacific Ocean to carry out 7,000-meter-level operations. In the two difficult operations, the acceptance expert group gave 99With a comprehensive evaluation of 25 points, the "Jiaolong" completed the "evolution".

From project approval to research and development, from sea trials to experimental applications, and then to commercial operation, the "Jiaolong" has fought in the south and the north, with more than 100 dives and successful successes, opening a door for China to explore the deep sea.

Praise Jiaolong's courage and "dive".

I wish my country's scientific and technological undertakings a thriving "dragon".
