According to complaints from the Apple support community and MacRumors forums, some iPhone 15 users have been experiencing Bluetooth connectivity issues since the launch of the new device.

Affected customers are unable to keep their iPhones connected to older Bluetooth devices, such as in-car systems or headphones that rely on the technology. From the macrumors forum:

Since iOS 17, my car (without CarPlay. BMW 2014) Bluetooth calls often disconnect. I dialed hands-free in the car** and after a few seconds the Bluetooth disconnected and I manually switched to the speaker in my iPhone. I've owned this car since the beginning of a new car and replace the iPhone almost every year, usually x.Version 0 has some Bluetooth issues, but now with 2 major versions of iOS 17, the problem hasn't been resolved. My other iPhone 12 in my car doesn't have this issue.

Many of the complaints came from iPhone 15 users who tried to connect their iPhones to Bluetooth headphones, car systems, and similar devices, but some users have also experienced problems with more modern products like AirPods.

I upgraded from 15 plus to 15 pro max (which was stupid, but switched carriers, so I got it for free) and the bluetooth connection was terrible. Bluetooth in the car is no problem. But on my AirPods Max and Beats Studio Buds, my** would disconnect and reconnect, and the call would drop after 5 to 10 minutes. Complete all resets. Hopefully we will receive the software update soon.

Reports of Bluetooth issues date back to October 2023, just a month after the iPhone 15 model was released. They continue to make multiple updates, with the latest report coming from running iOS 173.1 user. Some customers have been told that these issues will be resolved with the iOS 17 update, but based on ongoing complaints, it seems that Apple has not fully addressed the issue.

The cause of the problem is unknown, but affected users have both iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models. Some people have been able to change their iPhones, which is the only way to fix the problem. Reboots, resets, and other typical fixes don't work for people who are experiencing issues.
