Delete the last two episodes before it can become a masterpiece!

Recently, one of my favorite Korean dramas is not "Monster in Beijing", nor "Please Marry My Husband", but "Death is Coming".

Directed by Ha Byung-hoon, starring Seo In-guk, Park So-dan, Kim Ji-hoon, Choi Si-won, Sung-hoon, Jang Seung-jo, Kim Young-hoon, Lee Jae-wook, Lee Ji-hui, Ko Yoon-jung, Kim Chae-wook, Oh Jung-se, Kim Mi-kyung, etc., based on the popular comic of the same name, a total of 8 episodes, divided into the upper part and the lower part, 4 episodes each.

When "Death is Coming" was first broadcast, I watched it and directly finished the 4 episodes of the upper part in one go, and the overall performance completely exceeded expectations, and I strongly looked forward to the arrival of the next part after chasing it. The first 2 episodes of the next part really lived up to expectations, but the last 2 episodes seemed redundant, and even lowered the level of the whole series.

From the perspective of story structure, the plot arrangement before and after "Death is Coming" does seem neat, echoing before and after, and the last two episodes return to warmth, and also give the male protagonist the opportunity to restart his life, but in this way, it makes the story of "Death is Coming" seem mediocre and not shocking enough.

The story should stop after the male protagonist's revenge, take the duel between the male protagonist and the villain as the final scene, and compress the follow-up content as much as possible to make the story theme obvious and more explosive.

This arrangement can make the rhythm of the plot more compact, without causing the storyline of the next two episodes to seem muddy.

And at the end, the male protagonist returned to the top of the building, it seems that the story has a happy ending, and the male protagonist also knows how to cherish his precious life and the people around him, but such an ending will weaken the tension of the previous story and plot.

Even if the male protagonist defeats the rules, he should not be given the male protagonist a chance to be truly reborn, it can be said that the male protagonist gave up the opportunity to be reborn for revenge, or use an open-ended ending, leaving room for suspense or reverie, which is more clever.

Of course, on the whole, the performance of "Death is Coming" is still above the average level, but the ending is not good enough, and there are some regrets.
