2001 73rd Oscars: Ang Lee "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" (nominated).

In addition, the South Korean film "Parasite" won the Best Picture at the 92nd Academy Awards in 2020, making it the first non-English-language film ever to win the Oscar for "Best Picture".
