He was a volunteer soldier in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, but was unfortunately captured by the enemy and has not been heard from since. And when his family and friends thought that he had sacrificed, they didn't know that he had already had a legendary experience in a foreign country, became a wealthy man in Argentina, and married his ** sister, he was Cheng Liren.
Cheng Liren was born in 1926 in a wealthy merchant family in Sinan, Guizhou, because of his young age, although he experienced the War of Resistance against Japan, he did not participate in the War of Resistance against Japan, but has been going to school with a solid family environment, and successfully graduated from university around 1949.
At the beginning of 1949, it was in the early stage of the founding of the People's Republic of China, but the Jiang army was still resisting stubbornly, and it was precisely because of this that Cheng Liren, who graduated from university on the front foot, joined the 95th Army of Jiang Jun's army on the back foot. But fortunately, at the end of the same year, the 95th Army revolted, and Cheng Liren was also reorganized into a PLA soldier with the army.
Less than two years after the founding of the People's Republic of China, the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea broke out, and Cheng Liren, as a soldier and a hot-blooded young man, joined the team to fight in North Korea without hesitation, and around 1951, he entered the Korean battlefield as a soldier of the 180th Division of the 60th Army of the Volunteer Army.
But unfortunately, in a battle, due to the failure to retreat in time, Cheng Liren became a prisoner and fell into the hands of the enemy, and then Cheng Liren was taken to a prisoner of war camp with tens of thousands of prisoners for centralized care.
In the days of the prisoner of war camp, Cheng Liren lived differently from other prisoners of war. Because he learned many Chinese languages during his university years, he was entrusted with important tasks by the enemy and became the manager of the prisoners of war, guarding the prisoners of war for the enemy. This may be the reason why he did not return to China after the war.
After the war, where did Cheng Liren go back to China? Not Argentina, but India, which is very close to the motherland. But then he couldn't find a job in India to earn a living, so he fled with the ship to Argentina in South America. In Argentina, Cheng Liren quickly established himself with his linguistic talent and past experience, and in 1968 he became one of the largest jewelry merchants in Argentina. Later, in the 80s, with the relationship with the Argentine ** Raul Alphoncien family at that time, he also married the ** sister, thus reaching the peak of his life.
