Exploring classic melodies, always immersed in those immortal songs, never tired of listening; Looking at the traces of time, I still love those things that leave the mark of time, which makes people inadvertently feel a sense of intimacy and steadfastness, which leads to a love for nostalgia. This new home with retro charm, after a year of decoration, not only pays attention to the careful design of hard decoration, but also makes great efforts in the choice of soft decoration. From a variety of cabinets, fireplaces, lattice windows, not only from thousands of items, but also from the designer to customize, as well as valuable items treasured by the owner.
Let's take a look at this beautiful new home!
Analysis of the original house type
The original 128 three-bedroom and two-living room structure is conservative and standard, transparent from north to south, and each space is organized into small squares; Three bedrooms are in a quiet area, while the small kitchen doesn't fit well with the owner's needs.
The layout is reshaped
The designer fully considered the needs of the homeowner and reorganized the space with function as the guide
1. Transform one of the secondary bedrooms into a cloakroom, which is connected to the master bedroom to form a suite-style master bedroom.
2. Move the public bathroom washstand to the hallway to create an open kitchen and make the two areas more spacious.
3. Close the balcony to make the living room and dining room more transparent and bright.
Since the apartment has an independent elevator hall, the entrance is moved to the door, and when the door is opened, there is a transparent space for living, dining and kitchen.
Next to the entrance door is a special black cabinet with a gold bar and S-shaped hook on the outside, which is convenient for hanging daily small items.
In the initial design, the owner made it clear that the living room did not need a TV, so the focus of the living room was on the enclosed sofa.
The ceiling is made of white latex paint combined with a double plaster line, and due to the high floors, the lighting advantage is significant, so the low-saturation latex paint is chosen. The milk tea tones convey elegance and warmth, with white wall skirts, and the embellishment of plaster lines effectively prevents the corners from looking too dull.
The floor is made of dark imitation wood grain floor tiles, which provide a deep and inclusive tone for the soft furnishings.
The overall soft furnishing atmosphere is relatively strong, with velvet sofas, carved fireplaces, carpets, etc., dark colors as if they are old movies, bringing a sense of story, reminiscent of sitting around the fireplace, wrapped in blankets, and spending time slowly in the cold winter.
Gold and white parts of the space, such as uniquely shaped chandeliers, bamboo neoclassical mirrors and hanging paintings, maintain a retro atmosphere while presenting a small sense of luxury.
The fireplace features a bespoke black design, and the interior is complemented by delicate tiles with a dark green velvet armchair and fringed floor lamps, creating a warm atmosphere through the lighting.
The velvet sofa is complemented by a cherry glass coffee table, and the solid wood arch side table has a unique shape that is both stable and designed, and will stand the test of time.
The sun shines through the white veil, and the gentle light shines on the room, making the acute angles of the heart gradually become peaceful in the soft light.
The plush carpet is made of thick green, which is warm to step on, and even pets at home have a soft spot for it.
Compared with the living room full of stories, the dining room pays more attention to the fresh and flexible design, with lace, flowers and green plants as the main elements, emphasizing the natural freshness of the countryside and forming a natural contrast with the living room.
The owner brought in the old family's monstera and the falling lemon tree, which exuded vitality and added a bright and cheerful atmosphere to the space.
Teacup cabinets and custom-made sideboards are both beautiful and functional, while above the sideboard, the designer used wall art ingenuity to create arch-shaped niches to enhance the sense of hierarchy of the space.
Two all-copper chandeliers cast delicate and gorgeous light and shadow through the art glass, creating an intoxicating atmosphere, especially at night.
The kitchen is separated from the dining room by a corridor, continuing the rustic style, with white tiles, floral tiles, silver handles and green accents all cleverly used to enhance the freshness of the space.
The aisle is designed with a curved doorway, giving walking a sense of ritual. The beam at the top is cleverly hidden, while the lace curtain on the right acts as a partition in the kitchen.
The dry area of the public bathroom has been moved to the corridor, and the design of the washbasin makes efficient use of the aisle space, and at the same time releases the wet area, realizing the separation of dry and wet, and effectively alleviating the pressure of use in the morning rush hour.
The second bedroom is dominated by purple and blue, presenting a sweet and fun living experience. The table bed and built-in cabinet serve as storage and echo the backdrop of the dining room.
According to the owner's needs, the designer integrated the two bedrooms deep into a holistic suite that includes a lounge area, cloakroom and bathroom, enhancing the privacy of the residence.
The master bathroom is separated from the cloakroom, sleeping area and complete bathroom space through the curved glass window, which is full of the classical atmosphere of "small windows, dressing".
This window is an ingenious custom-made product, inspired by the texture of a boiled egg, with small oval cracks stretching out like branches.
Although customization is cumbersome, it gives the home uniqueness, and there will never be a "collision" situation.
In the cloakroom, there are two sets of cabinets with white and silver handles, which make the space appear open and bright. Custom-made three-way drawers on the windowsill make it easy to store trinkets.
The sleeping area is simple and comfortable, with warm solid wood furniture, the background wall of the bedside is decorated with gypsum board and gypsum lines, and the bed is a special hand-painted bed, exuding a literary temperament.
Compared to white blinds, wood creates a calmer atmosphere in a space. The bay window is furnished with cushions and cushions, making it a pleasant relaxation area.
Nowadays, the "cold" and "minimalism" are no longer popular, and those seemingly cumbersome items and decorations, if used properly, can create a more homely taste.
In this space full of storytelling, find a corner of your heart, and everything is permeated with a sense of constant flow and tenderness and firmness. This retro, delicate and unstacked home makes people sigh: sure enough, the retro style is still an eternal classic!
