The main filter material of the folded sintered felt filter element is stainless steel fiber sintered felt. Stainless steel fiber sintered felt is used as the core filter layer.

Stainless steel fiber sintered felt is made of metal fiber wire sintering, and metal fiber wire is a multi-metal wire synthetic bundle, stretched to the usable fiber diameter at the same time, and then used the same weight and standard diameter to bundle it into silk, cut off, and use a suitable method to make fluffy felt, while sintered felt is to arrange several fluffy felts of different diameters together in turn to form a certain thickness of stacked fibers, the fibers cross each other into three-dimensional pores, and then through high temperature vacuum sintering and then rolling to the finished sintered felt.

Because the sintered felt is evenly laid in a three-dimensional labyrinth, it forms a good pore size between the fibers, its size distribution is uniform, and the porosity can reach more than 85%, which is twice that of the metal sintered powder filter element.

The stainless steel fiber sintered felt filter element adopts a multi-layer structure pleated design to obtain a large filtration area, and the basic mechanism is the outer protective layer skeleton, the inner protective layer skeleton, the precision filter layer, the inner support layer, and the inner support framework. Due to its pleated design, it is also known as a corrugated filter.
