The protagonists of this joining ceremony were not recruits, but revolutionary martyrs who died in the battle of Dahuzhuang. The instructor of the company told reporters that in 1941, the predecessor unit of the company was in Dahuzhuang, Zhuling, Huai'an County, desperately blocking the enemy army several times its size, and the battle ended, 82 officers and soldiers of the company died heroically, and only one soldier survived. "Heroic stories are remembered, but many heroes are named. Turning to look at the Wall of Martyrs behind him, the instructor sighed with emotion that there should have been the names of 82 martyrs on this Wall of Martyrs' Fame, but only 16 have been verified so far. In recent years, whenever the name of an unknown martyr has been verified in the company, they have to hold a solemn ceremony to welcome the hero "home". Letting the unknown be "famous" and taking the heroes "home" is not only the wish of the families of the martyrs, but also touches the hearts of every officer and soldier of the "Dahuzhuang Company." Since 2015, the company has jointly established a "martyr family search team" with relevant local departments, covering many provinces. Hu Weihua, a staff member of the 82 Martyrs Cemetery in Dahuzhuang, who has participated in the search for martyrs for many years, participated in the ceremony remotely. He introduced that the names of these four heroes were just verified last year. At 10 o'clock in the morning, the joining ceremony officially began. The company commander read out the names of the martyrs in turn, and received the names of the martyrs from the hands of the four pacesetters and posted them on the wall of British fame, and the scene resounded with warm applause. The reporters laid flowers for the heroes together with the officers and soldiers and saluted the Wall of Fame.
