Yongzheng's short life was due to absurdity, and the courtiers called the sun and the beauty

I'm Lantai, hello everyone. The ninth prince of the Qing Dynasty, Aixin Jueluo Zhaoqi, mentioned in the "Xiaoting Miscellaneous Records" that Emperor Yongzheng spent thirteen years of his reign focusing on work, and there was no such thing as a dog or horse.

Meng Sen, a historian at the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, also specifically mentioned that Emperor Yongzheng's diligence is unique even in history. However, is his early death really due to diligence?

If you look at foreign historical sources, especially those of the Korean side, which was a vassal of the Qing Dynasty at the time, you will find that the Korean side has a completely different account of the early death of the Yongzheng Emperor from the Chinese side.

According to Korean historical records, the early death of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty had little to do with his hard work, but was directly related to his lust. As early as the fourth year of Yongzheng, Li Huan, the king of Xiping, reported in front of the king of North Korea that Emperor Yongzheng and the empress were separated and messed around with beautiful women in the Old Summer Palace all day long; The queen was abandoned in the capital, only with the favorite concubines, living in the Old Summer Palace, and living a life of debauchery.

The relaxation of the palace ban can be seen. In the tenth year of Yongzheng in North Korea, Li Yu, the ancestor of North Korea, asked the envoy who came back from Beijing, and when talking about the physical condition of Emperor Yongzheng, the Korean envoy said that Emperor Yongzheng was unconscious in his lower body because of his life was too absurd.

When the Korean envoys inquired about the Ministry of Rites, the imperial doctors came out many times**, but when they discussed Emperor Yongzheng's condition, they all thought that his lower body was like an uncooled corpse and could not be used freely.

When the news of Emperor Yongzheng's death reached North Korea, Hong Jingfu, the "prime minister" of North Korea, thought that Emperor Yongzheng's private life was too absurd, so it was normal for him to live only 60 years old.

Emperor Yongzheng was addicted to women, and he was terminally ill, and his lower body was no longer able to be used, and this situation has lasted for a long time. He was nearly sixty years old, and his early death was understandable.

So, did the Korean side deliberately smear the Qing Dynasty, including the Yongzheng Emperor, because they were grateful to the Wanli Emperor of the Ming Dynasty for helping Korea resist Japanese aggression?

It's up to you to make your own judgment.

Although there was a disparagement of the customs of the Manchus and Qing emperors by the Korean monarchs and ministers in history, the North Korean side did not deliberately belittle the Yongzheng Emperor's lustful incident. What the North Korean side says may be true.

According to Chinese historical records, especially the extant archives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Qing Palace, Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty was the most enthusiastic alchemy among the Qing emperors. A large amount of information has been preserved in the archives of the Qing Palace, showing that Emperor Yongzheng asked Taoist priests to help him with alchemy, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs also sent a large number of alchemy materials to the Old Summer Palace.

These records all prove the fact that Emperor Yongzheng asked a Taoist priest to help him refine the pill. Secondly, he was refining an elixir called "Jiji Dan". At the latest in the fourth year of Yongzheng, he asked the Taoist priest to refine this elixir for him.

According to the records of the "Hygienist Treasure Formula" that has been handed down in the Southern Song Dynasty, "Jijidan" is actually a primitive "blue pill", and its main function is "white turbidity and spermatozoa, deficiency of kidney qi, and deficiency of sperm".

Emperor Yongzheng not only took "Jijidan", but also had a soft spot for a drug called "Qiushi". In his edict to Tian Wenjing, he emphasized that Jijidan must be taken together with Qiushi to achieve the best results.

In fact, "Autumn Stone" is a traditional "elixir" that is widely believed to have an aphrodisiac effect. Although the specific effects of "Jijidan" and "Qiushi" may be similar to those of "Blue Little Pill", Emperor Yongzheng is very clear about this.

In his letter to Tian Wenjing, he said that even though Tian Wenjing was 70 years old, he still hoped that he would be able to give birth to a son after taking "Jijidan" and "Qiushi".

This is because Tian Wenjing did not have an heir at that time. Therefore, Emperor Yongzheng has an in-depth understanding of the efficacy and effect of these two drugs, and is full of confidence in their efficacy.

According to the performance of Nakata Wenjing in the TV series, we can know that Emperor Yongzheng was aware of the effects of the "Jijidan" and "Qiushi" that he took daily. At the same time, another evidence shows that Emperor Yongzheng was lustful, he had 29 named concubines after the seventh year of Yongzheng, 14 of whom were in the ** palace, all of them were low-level concubines, and lived in the Old Summer Palace most of the time.

Do you know? During the Qing Dynasty, there was an emperor who married 14 low-ranking concubines in a row from the age of 51, which was very rare at the time. Although his son Emperor Qianlong was known as "amorous and lustful", after the age of 50, he did not marry as many concubines as his father.

In particular, Emperor Qianlong lived to be in his 80s, while his father only lived to be 57 years old. Therefore, we can conclude that the reason for the short life of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty may be related to his absurd private life, since he continued to take primitive aphrodisiac drugs for several years, which improved some of his dysfunctions, which allowed him to marry so many concubines in a row in his later years.
