From December 2023 to February 5, 2024, the Liaoning Public Security Department will carry out the "Winter Offensive" to crack down on and prevent outstanding violations and crimes in the "Two Festivals", which will be "seamlessly connected" with the "Safe Escort" special operation, continue to crack down on all kinds of outstanding violations and crimes, and ensure the continued stability of social security during the New Year's Day and Spring Festival in 2024.
According to the experience of the public security organs in cracking down on crimes, the eve of the "two festivals" every year is a period of high incidence of illegal and criminal cases such as burglary, pickpocketing, and contact fraud, and some ordinary cases of embezzlement of property can easily be turned into major and vicious cases. At the same time, high-incidence and frequent crimes involving food and drugs, pornography, gambling and drugs are prominent, seriously disrupting social order during the festival.
To this end, the Liaoning public security insisted on taking the people as the center, vigorously launched the "winter offensive", focusing on "meeting" illegal crimes, focusing on cracking down on traditional crimes involving food and drugs, pornography, gambling and drugs, environmental pollution, and other traditional crimes involving food and drugs, pornography, gambling, drugs, and environmental pollution, as well as high-incidence public security crimes.
Up to now, the public security organs in Liaoning Province have detected a total of 4,192 criminal cases of traditional property theft, street robbery, store theft, car theft and other traditional property theft, food and medicine, pornography, gambling and drugs, an increase of 23 from the previous month59%；A total of 1,231 property was recovered170,000 yuan, up 1245%。
