According to reports, Gao Zhidan said that the traditional friendship between China and the DPRK, which was personally created and nurtured by the leaders of the older generation of the two parties and two countries, is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people of the two countries and has endured for a long time. It is hoped that the two sides will implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two parties and two countries, take the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the "China-DPRK Friendship Year" in 2024 as an opportunity to deepen friendly exchanges and practical cooperation in sports, give full play to the unique role of sports in promoting people-to-people bonds, and jointly write a new chapter in China-DPRK friendship.
Kim Il Kook said that the traditional friendship between China and the DPRK in the sports circles is precious, and he looks forward to the strengthening of friendly exchanges between the individual sports associations and local sports organizations of the two countries within the framework of the protocol, and hopes that the athletes, coaches, and sports managers of the two countries will exchange experience and improve together, so as to jointly promote the friendly sports cooperation between China and the DPRK to a new level.
