I know that your feelings right now are mixed and painful. Because this exam, it is not just an exam, it is your efforts, your expectations, and your dreams. I know that most of the comfort you hear is probably the cliché: "This is just an exam, it won't determine your future." You may have heard these words many times.
What I want to tell you is that while these words may sound grand and patterned, they will not solve your current pain. Because your pain is real, and your grief is concrete. Just like my friend who I once comforted, I told him that the outside world was wonderful, but he still needed time to heal. Later I found out that I was the same and that I needed time to heal.
It is a challenging road to graduate school. It's brutal because it requires a lot of effort on our part and a lot of pressure on our part. But, dear fellows, remember that your pain is also real. Your sorrows, your losses, are all part of your lives.
So, allow yourself to feel these emotions. Please allow yourself to cry, please allow yourself to suffer. Because, these are the necessary ways for you to grow. I am here, silently accompanying you and listening to your voices. Let's walk this journey together and welcome a new beginning together.
