A trademark is a sign used to distinguish goods or services**. It comes into being according to the needs of human production and life practice, which is not only an intellectual property right, a result of mental labor, but also a part of industrial property rights and an intangible property of an enterprise.
More than 100 years ago, when Mr. Zhang Jian opened Dasheng Yarn Factory, he had a strong sense of trademark, and the cotton yarn trademark used by Dasheng No. 1 Factory was "Kuixing", which was divided into three types: "Red Kui", "Blue Kui" and "Green Kui". Later, the deputy factory used "Jin Kui", and the third factory used "Cai Kui". It is said that when the original design was made, the painter did not know the appearance of "Kuixing", and the design was painted according to the image of Zhong Kui, who fought ghosts, and made a small change, becoming a pen in one hand and a bucket in one hand.
Some time ago, Qian Jin, a Tibetan friend in Nantong, found a special trademark, which may be the earliest "Kuixing" trademark of Dasheng No. 1 Factory. When he saw this trademark, he found that it was different from what he had seen in the Nantong Museum and other Tibetan friends before, what was so special about it? Qian Jin said that one is that the name of the factory is different, and the other is that there is a difference between the two places. One is Nantong Prefecture and the other is Nantong County. At that time, the name of the factory in Nantong Prefecture was Dasheng Yarn Factory, and the name of Nantong County was Dasheng Textile Company.
* In the first year, that is, in 1912, Tongzhou was abolished and renamed Nantong County. This trademark is printed with "opened in Nantong Prefecture" on the right side and "Machine Smooth Cotton Yarn" on the left side. From this, it can be judged that this trademark was issued before 1912.
Gu Yongxiang, a collector, said that this trademark was discovered for the first time, and its main feature was that it was written on it to be opened in Nantong Prefecture. This trademark was produced between 1895 and 1921, and it is of great significance, showing that Zhang Jian paid attention to trademark construction from the beginning of the early establishment of the factory.
In addition to the yarn factory, the cloth produced by several factories in Dasheng also has its own trademark, and it is also a big trademark. For example, this is a trademark on the outer packaging of cotton cloth, and its name is Fu Lu Shou Sanxi, cloth label.
Gu Yongxiang said that this is the first discovery of private collections, and this kind of trademark can only be seen in museums, and it is rare for people to see. It is not easy to have an original trademark like this that has been handed down and preserved.
With the same big trademark, Qian Jin also found the "Peacock" brand cloth label of Dasheng Textile Company, the flour trademark bag of Fuxin Flour Mill and the trademark bag of Yongchangxiang Leather Goods Bureau.
