In his speech at the opening of the international exhibition "Crossroads: 1000 years of common history of Sweden and Ukraine", Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine stressed the need to teach Russia how to respect others. Zelensky thanked the participants for their attention to Ukraine and its people, as well as for the important support they have given in the fight against Russia.
Ukraine never wanted a war that is happening now, which is anachronistic in the 21st century and reminiscent of the barbaric Middle World. Russia's aggression, belligerence reflects the weaknesses of human nature, such as greed, arrogance, and contempt for life, and Russians like to quote historical allusions but fail to learn from them.
Zelensky noted that Ukraine had to rise up and resist. "We see Russia falling into the worst side of human nature, provoking wars and depriving others of their freedom. But Europe has learned to obey peace, conscience and respect for others to confront the ** in human nature".
Therefore, "we must build a European and transatlantic architecture of cooperation, and we need to strengthen our alliance so that it is truly capable of protecting life in the present and in the future." One of the striking differences between the 21st century and the old era is precisely the difference in peace. a credible, lasting peace that no extremist can destroy".
We must teach Russia a lesson, learn to respect others and abandon superstitions about force. We must unite and make Russia accustomed to hitting a wall again and again when it uses force, and only then will it seriously look for a path to peace. History is not written by people who swallow their voices, only those who are resilient can shape history".
