just finished watching "Article 20", which is a very good realistic movie, presenting all the bits and pieces in life.
There are a lot of film reviews about it, and they are all written about the same theme, the ** of fairness and justice in real life, the praise of the film's narrative technique, and the interpretation of the law.
But I think the end of the movie is too idealistic.
The male protagonist Han Ming, a middle-aged prosecutor who was defeated by reality, lost his ideals and beliefs, and was willing to assimilate into a prosecutor who unconditionally surrendered to the rigid and cold laws like most of his peers.
At the same time that he accepted several cases in which the victim became the wrongdoer, his own injustice to protect his weak son was also judged by the law to be the wrongdoer.
Later, when Han Ming had an argument with a colleague who had always insisted on avenging the wrongdoing party under the law but was punished for this because of this similar case, under the colleague's questioning and insistence, Han Ming's ideals that had already been buried deep in life were awakened.
Since then, his awakening has begun. Then after awakening at the end, he frequently uttered golden sentences, shouted passionately for true justice and fairness, and delivered a wonderful one-man speech in court, which attracted unanimous applause from the leaders and peers present, and also ushered in a happy ending for the wronged party of the case.
Such an ending is very bloody and very happy. But in reality, there may be some Han Ming in all walks of life, but in the face of cold laws and authoritative rules in the workplace, how many Han Ming dare to sacrifice their ego at the risk of being punished, and stand on the opposite side of the law, rules and most people?
So if you do it, can Han Ming's consequences really be able to get out of the way or be appreciated and recognized by the superiors?
Maybe there is, but there are not many, you can see it.
Han Ming, another film and television image of the lonely brave.
But I really hope that such a lonely brave person in reality can have a good ending in the end...
