What exactly does a banking job do?

Recently, more and more college graduates are choosing to join banks, but do they really understand what banks do? After a month of working life in the bank, as a junior clerk who has just joined the bank, I have a deeper understanding of the work of the bank.

At first impression, the bank is the place where money is handled. The neatly arranged cash in front of the counter and the dense numbers on the wall of the hall tell us that this is a place for money. I used to think that bank clerks were just sitting behind the counter and depositing and withdrawing money for customers.

But after a month, I realized that the job of a bank is much more than that. As a small personal banking relationship manager, I have a lot to do.

First, open an account. This is one of my main tasks. Every day, clients come to open accounts, and I need to understand their needs in detail, introduce our bank's account types and services, and help them choose the most suitable account. During the process, I pay attention to the customer's expression and reaction, and make personalized recommendations according to their needs. After the account is opened, I will also explain in detail how to use online banking, mobile banking and other functions, and take the initiative to provide follow-up account maintenance services.

Second, financial planning. Banks not only provide accounts, but more importantly, help customers plan their wealth reasonably. I need to design a portfolio for my clients based on factors such as income, assets, and risk appetite, and allocate funds to products that are more suitable for them. This requires me to have a deeper understanding of the bank's various wealth management products, from long-term fixed deposits to structured wealth management products such as W**ES. I need to communicate all kinds of complex expertise to my clients in a simple and clear way.

Again, the loan business. Many customers need to apply for personal loans to meet their needs, such as buying a house, starting a business, renovating, etc. I assess the client's income and risk and match the client with the right loan product according to the bank's loan terms. At the same time, it is necessary to assist customers in preparing application materials, check the review process, and take the initiative to provide follow-up repayment consulting services.

In addition to this, I have to answer the client's ** inquiries every day and deal with various account or business issues. This requires me to have a strong grasp of the bank's products and processes, and be able to answer questions quickly to customers. Communication with clients has also tested my endurance and compassion.

After a month, I felt that the work of the bank was far more complicated than I had imagined. It requires not only solid professional knowledge, but also strong practical skills, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills. I want to strike a balance between the needs of my clients and the bank's regulations to provide my clients with professional advice that is right for them in the complex world of finance. This has deepened my respect for the banking profession.

Because of this, I have become more and more interested and enthusiastic about this profession. I realized that this is not just a job, but a process of continuous learning and growth. Every day I am accumulating more customer service experience and expertise. I believe that as long as I continue to work hard, I will be able to become an excellent bank employee and provide professional and caring financial services to customers. It's a tough job, but I'm ready to give it my all!
