According to the official announcement, Steam Next Fest 2024 is scheduled to kick off on February 5 and last for several days. During this period, players will have the opportunity to experience demo versions of hundreds of games. The event seems to have a special focus on sci-fi competitive style games, including:
A 3v3 multiplayer-themed sci-fi shooter that emphasizes the importance of teamwork and tactical strategy.
A first-person shooter game developed by 3D Realms inspired by the classic game Duke Doom.
Survival horror shooter developed with Unreal Engine 5 and supports single and two-player co-op modes.
It's a sci-fi style real-time strategy game set in a war between humans and alien invaders, developed by a team that includes former members of Blizzard Entertainment and is heavily influenced by StarCraft.
The company further revealed that the special page of Steam Next Fest 2024 will showcase hundreds of other new games, and will provide live broadcasts of category tags, as well as more detailed sub-tags, so that players can more easily discover games that match their personal interests.
