As a teacher and a poet, about 17 years ago in March, I introduced modern and contemporary poetry into the classroom and started the road of new poetry education.
In the first form, students choose a work and make a simple slide show in which students choose to read aloud, read aloud in groups, individually, or collectively as a class. The second form is to drift around the class with various poetry collections and poetry anthologies, and the students copy them in the reading book. During the pre-class presentation, you can share and discuss what you read and write in front of the class.
In class, we read and discussed the poems of Dickinson, Yeats, Akhmatova, Simboska, MiĆosz, Bry, Merwin, Neruda, Haizi, Kitajima, and others. "Whenever you read poetry, art just happens", and at that moment, the sincerity and truth, love and beauty of poetry emerge one after another.
Every year on March 26, two classes are used to read Haizi's poems. From 2007 to the present, Haizi poetry reading has become a festival for students throughout the year. Whenever a new class of students takes over, I also carry out the "Draw Me" poetry writing activity, take students to the botanical garden to read poems in the autumn, compile 100 Chinese and foreign classic poems for students to read online, set up poetry appreciation and writing classes, etc., and invite Zhao Lihua, Zhang Zhihao, Shen Wei and other poets to the school to give special lectures on new poetry education.
Since 2010, I have been pushing the reading of the whole book classics in my class. So far, he has led students to read more than a dozen classic works such as "The Little Prince", "Dear Andrey", "Selected Short Stories of Chekhov", "The Plague", "Les Miserables", "John Christopher", "Rural China", "Dream of Red Mansions", "The Moon and Sixpence" and so on. In the process, I made hundreds of thousands of words of reading notes. At the same time, real situations are set up, reading manuals and reading task lists are formulated, and students' reading of the whole book is effectively promoted in the form of a curriculum and in-depth learning is implemented. I have set two goals: the low-level goal is to read, write, and speak, and the high-level goal is to learn to read, learn to think, enrich the mind, and improve the personality. In reading, attention is paid to the guidance of process and method: selected articles, single articles and special topics are combined; Personal intensive reading, combination of annotation and combing and analysis; panel discussions; The whole class communicates and shares, the key words (themes, themes, and topics) of the board book are narrated, and teachers and students evaluate each other. In the first semester of the first year of high school, "Friday Chinese class - Chekhov ** reading" and "real people - "John Christopher whole book reading" were conducted, in the first semester of the second year of high school, "Tuesday Chinese class - "Les Miserables whole book reading", ""Plague" adapted drama performance" during the epidemic, and "The Moon and Sixpence", "Baron in the Tree", "One Hundred Years of Solitude", "The Art of Love" and so on were freely read in the winter and summer vacations, and these classic courses effectively promoted and developed students' core Chinese literacy.
In the school, I also organized the construction of "Under the Banyan Tree - Reading Community for Youth Class Teachers", and established the Yu Wenhao Famous Teacher Studio in Luohu District, Shenzhen. He led a group of teachers to deeply cultivate the front line of teaching, promote reading activities in schools and regions, take the reading of the whole book as the starting point, walk with the classics, and make friends with famous books, which has effectively promoted the professional growth of young teachers, and promoted the gradual growth of teachers and students into Chinese teachers with spiritual connotation, warmth and love, and young and bright students.
At the same time, my reading is also driving and influencing the surroundings, and even spreading to the wider distance. Reading lectures have been widely held in schools in Luohu District, Longgang District and other areas of Shenzhen. Since 2021, I have been going to Xilin, Longlin and other places in Guangxi every year to give special lectures on reading and listening to and evaluating class guidance, and send reading concepts and practical methods to remote mountainous areas. In November 2023, I won the title of "Reading Leader" jointly selected by the Chinese Chinese Newspaper Association, Language World Magazine, and Magazine in and Out of the Classroom.
Life is finite, and reading, with its immortal trek, gives us great joy and fulfillment on the road to truth. I am convinced and feel this. "Establish a person if you want to", that's all.
One book that influenced me: The Brothers Karamazov

Man is a mystery that needs to be solved", I have read "The Brothers Karamazov" 9 times, and I will often take it out and turn it over. I also wrote tens of thousands of words of reading notes and designed the entire book "The Brothers Karamazov". I have three editions of "The Brothers Karamazov" at hand, and after reading this big book in depth, we will have a new understanding and observation of life, life, and everything about people.
