In order to further promote the fire safety concentrated elimination of problems and rectify the risks and hidden dangers in key places, in the past few days, the comprehensive reform brigade of the Taiyuan Fire and Rescue Detachment has dismantled the anti-theft nets installed in violation of regulations in many types of places in the jurisdiction in accordance with laws and regulations, so as to open up the "life channel" for the masses.
Since the launch of the large-scale rectification action, the comprehensive reform brigade has widely posted the "Notice of the National Fire and Rescue Bureau on Removing the Doors and Windows of Densely Populated Places and Setting Up Obstacles that Affect Escape and Fire Fighting and Rescue", and at the same time, it has carried out gridding and carpet touching and arrangement of densely populated places in its jurisdiction in a timely manner, and registered the anti-theft nets with fire safety hazards one by one.
During the demolition process, the law enforcement officers patiently publicized and explained the relevant policy requirements for the removal of anti-theft nets to all enterprise units, clarified the stakes, and required all units to implement the main responsibility of fire safety, and remove the anti-theft nets, iron fences, billboards and other obstacles set up in violation of the rules of external wall doors and windows to ensure timely escape and fire fighting and rescue work in an emergency. All enterprise units and places actively cooperated, and arranged construction personnel to dismantle the illegal anti-theft nets and iron fences in an orderly manner.
As of February 22, more than 5,000 illegal anti-theft nets and iron fences have been removed, with a demolition area of 6,162 square meters and 1,676 houses. In the next step, the brigade will continue to carry out special rectification work to clean up doors, windows and balconies that affect escape and evacuation, fire fighting and rescue obstacles, remove risks and hidden dangers in a timely manner, and improve the fire safety environment in the jurisdiction.
