Just like the Bugatti Veyron before it, the Bugatti Chiron has also led to a number of special editions.

This is because the number of cheron produced is larger, with 500 units. Therefore, there are so many special editions that it is impossible to count them in detail. According to previous information, the new Bugatti will be unveiled in a few months.

Recently, in front of the castle in Moresheim, France, Bugatti's headquarters, a unique W16 "monster" appeared again - Bugatti CHIRON Super Sport Hommage T50S.

The car is a bespoke version of the Bugatti Sur Mesure (French for "bespoke") division, based on the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport.

The "Hommage T50S" suffix has nothing to do with Gordon Murray Automotive's GMA T50. It was presented as a tribute to the 1931 Bugatti Type 50S, and it is worth noting that this was Bugatti's first Le Mans car.

Unlike the lightweight race cars of the Type 35, the Type 50s are equipped with a 5The 0-litre supercharged eight-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 247 hp was a shocking statistic in 1931.

In addition, it was also Bugatti's first engine with a double overhead camshaft. With such a strong momentum, it can compete more confidently in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

In 1931, a total of three Type 50s entered the racetrack. At the time, two cars were painted in traditional French racing blue, while the other car was painted all black.

It is said that at that time, France refused to sponsor Bugatti to compete in Le Mans, and painting it black was also a response to **'s behavior.

However, three cars did not win the race, and one of them was damaged in an accident at high speed.

The remaining two cars were retired to prevent further uncertainties.

Later, the Type 50G, a derivative of the Type 50s, won its first victory at Le Mans in 1937, and the black model in ** has been officially retained to this day.

Nearly 100 years later, a VIP customer contacted Bugatti in honor of a legend. He says he's tired of the Bugatti colours in his garage and wants to own a relatively calm and understated Chiron Super Sport.

At the same time, he was fascinated by the story of the Bugatti Type 50s. Under the ** of the large check, the Bugatti official accepted the request of this customer.

The car's exterior is painted in a deep black, with the horseshoe grille at the front and the number "5", all of which are nods to the Type 50s. The number "5" appears on the doors on both sides, and the lettering is hand-painted in white to contrast with the black paintwork.

The front side skirts of the rear wheels also feature the Le Mans 1931 hand-painted logo. At the same time, the underside of the active rear spoiler features the hand-painted signature of Circuit de la Sarthe. A number of special elements are intertwined to reveal the special identity of the vehicle.

Inside, the elegant cabin of the CHIRON Super Sport is filled with a lot of black leather. The white diamond stitching contrasts with the dull black.

As a nod to classic racing cars, the Type 50s are also painted on the door trim panels. In addition to this, Le Mans 1931 was also sewn into the headrest.

In addition, unique features are used on the engine, behind the center console gear knob, and on the driver's side panels"perlée"Inserts with the "1931" logo. We see that this Super Sport is very high-specified, and even has an expensive Sky View glass roof.

The ** about this car has not been officially revealed, but for reference, the "beggar's version" of the Bugatti CHIRON Super Sport starts at $3,825,000 in the US market.

As a private custom version, perhaps only the owner himself knows how much he has paid for this car in the end.
