At the 2024 Geneva Motor Show, which opens next week, SAIC Motor will showcase the all-new L6 from its newly formed top electric vehicle brand, Zhiji (IM). This new brand, Zhiji (IM), not only carries SAIC's expectations for the future, but also represents China's ambition to go global. IM's expansion plans are not limited to China, its first overseas market will be Europe, and the first IM models are expected to go on sale in Europe in 2025.
Currently, the IM product line includes the L7 sedan, LS7 and LS6 crossovers. And at this Geneva Motor Show, IM will bring us a new L6 sedan. According to IM, the L6 is expected to be a high-performance compact sedan, with at least one version capable of accelerating from 0-62 mph in less than three seconds and having a range of nearly 500 miles (about 805 km), although this figure was drawn during the WLTP test cycle and may be reduced in actual use.
February** Dynamic Incentive Program IM's existing models have already demonstrated their superior EV technology, including a 900-volt electrical system and nearly 400 kilowatts of DC fast charging capabilities. The vehicles are also equipped with highly automated driver assistance systems and a wealth of connected services. What's even more exciting is that IM is expected to share electric vehicle technology with Audi to jointly promote the development of electric vehicles in the Chinese market. Audi and SAIC established a partnership in July last year, but details of the partnership have not yet been announced. In addition, MG will also unveil its all-new MG 3 Hybrid micro hatchback at this Geneva Motor Show, bringing more diverse choices to consumers around the world. The Geneva Motor Show kicks off on 26 February with a slew of new automotive products and technologies.
