IT Home reported on February 20 that Guangdong Province held a provincial high-quality development conference on February 18, and Gu Huinan, general manager of GAC Aion and manager of Haobo brand, was invited to attend the speech.
Gu Huinan said that GAC Aion will accelerate the implementation and popularization of L3 intelligent driving and urban NDA and other intelligent driving technologies in the Aion and Haobo brands, and plans to land urban NDA functions in April, and strive to achieve L4 intelligent driving in 2025 and mass production of all-solid-state batteries in 2026.
Note: According to the definition of L3 in the "Classification of Automobile Driving Automation", L3 refers to the removal of hands, feet and eyes under the condition of conditional automatic driving, so that the car will lead the driving rather than the driving of the assistant, and the main body of responsibility for the accident during intelligent driving will be transferred to the manufacturer. According to the "Notice on Carrying out the Pilot Work of Intelligent Networked Vehicle Access and Road Access" issued not long ago, the state will further promote the pilot production of L3 models on the road, and gradually promote the expansion of trial models and the expansion of the trial scope under the premise of hardware safety, data monitoring, and gradual improvement of regulations.
Gu Huinan pointed out that on the one hand, fierce market competition has brought profit pressure to enterprises, but it also contains more opportunities. Now is a good time for independent brands to impact upward and build high-end brands; ICV technology will usher in a second take-off, and 2024 will be an important inflection point for the development and market popularization of ICV technology.
He revealed that in terms of EV+ICV key technologies, the improvement of battery energy density is slowing down, revolutionary technologies represented by all-solid-state batteries are in the pipeline, and fast charging technology and energy ecology are also accelerating. In terms of EVs, GAC Aion has achieved full-stack self-production and self-development of three-electric technology, and will strive to achieve mass production of all-solid-state batteries in 2026.
Gu Huinan said that GAC Aion's software and hardware are ready in terms of L3 autonomous driving technology, and suggested that relevant departments should issue relevant regulations and road traffic signs for autonomous driving as soon as possible to create convenient conditions for the popularization of L3 autonomous driving.
