Deng Yingchao gave instructions on how to deal with the retirement of military command spies
Those who rebelled during the War of Liberation received special preferential treatment, some even became founding generals, and some continued to hold important positions in New China. One of them chose a special preferential treatment in 1978, in which he did not ask for other preferential treatment, but only wanted to change his retirement to retirement.
Yan Jinwen, a native of Jiangyin, Jiangsu, spent his early years in Shanghai and had a close relationship with Yang Hu, the number one person in Shanghai, and later with the help of Yang Hu, he became the deputy captain of the third brigade of the inspection department of the Shanghai Garrison Command.
He had done a lot of bad things in the military command, but after the uprising, he actively helped the revolutionary aspirants who opposed Chiang. He has helped rescue prominent progressives Zhang Lan and Luo Longji, prominent Chinese democrats.
At the founding ceremony, Zhang Lan once stood side by side with the chairman on Tiananmen Square, and served as the vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and was a pivotal figure. However, he was arrested in May 1949 by the Kuomintang Military Inspection Department appointed by Chiang Kai-shek.
Mao Renfeng, the head of the military command's spies, ordered Zhang Lan and others to be executed as soon as the time came. In this emergency, the superiors handed over the rescue task to Yang Hu, who had already secretly revolted.
Yang Hu knew that the people arrested by the Military Commander's Inspection Department were most effective in finding the Inspection Department, and Yan Jinwen happened to be the deputy captain of the Third Brigade. After learning of the situation, Yan Jinwen readily agreed to help and organized a rescue operation.
On the eve of the liberation of Shanghai, the military commander's spies secretly ordered the execution of Zhang Lan and others and transferred them to the ship to sink into the river. After Yan Jinwen received the secret order, he quickly rushed to the sanatorium to arrange the rescue.
He replaced the three spies on guard with his cronies and told Zhang Lan to act at night. At that time, the whole city was under martial law and there were few pedestrians, but Yan Jinwen successfully drove a jeep to the hospital with the pass order and picked up Zhang Lan and others.
On the way, he lied that Zhang Lan was his father, successfully escaped from the surveillance of the spies, and sent Zhang Lan and others to their destination safely. Back then, due to the secrecy of the operation, few people knew Yan Jinwen's deeds of saving Zhang Lan.
When implementing the policy of insurrectionists, Deng Yingchao personally instructed Yan Jinwen to change the treatment of retired cadres from separation, but Yan Jinwen did not care about this, he attached importance to the identity of being recognized as an insurrectionist.
