On January 30, the press conference of the first China Youth Tennis City Challenge was held at the Training Bureau of the General Administration of Sports of China, and the press conference was presided over by Wan Jianbin, deputy director of the Tennis Center of the General Administration of Sports. Bai Xilin, the main person in charge of the Tennis Center of the General Administration of Sports, Liu Lixin, Secretary-General of the Joint Secretariat of the Student Sports Association of the Ministry of Education, and Shan Tie, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Sports Industry Group, attended the press conference. Representatives from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macao Special Administrative Region and 26 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) attended the event.

At the meeting, the schedule, competition system, event highlights and event communication slogan of "Our City, Our Tennis" of the China Youth City Challenge were officially released. The press conference announced the list of provinces and cities participating in the China Youth City competition and the list of host cities of some regional and regional competitions. It was also announced that the host cities of some regional competitions, regional competitions and national finals are still being evaluated, and interested organizers can also apply to the Chinese Tennis Association. The Tennis Center of the General Administration of Sports also reached a strategic cooperation agreement with China Sports Industry Group on the China Youth City Challenge. As a member of the national team in the sports industry, China Sports Industry Group is fully responsible for the operation, promotion and market development of the China Youth City Challenge by its wholly-owned subsidiary, China Sports League Company.

Co-sponsored by the Chinese Tennis Association and the China Secondary School Sports Association, the Youth City Challenge is divided into four levels: provincial, regional, regional and national finals. Bai Xilin, the main person in charge of the Tennis Center of the General Administration of Sports, said in an interview with reporters, "In my opinion, tennis has four heights, which are highly internationalized, highly professional, highly personalized, and highly accurate. We focused on these four heights in this project. The core of the business focuses on two aspects, one is to overcome difficulties and improve, which refers to the improvement of the competitive level of first-line players. The other is to grasp the foundation for a long time, when I was the secretary general of the Basketball Association, I launched a small basketball, and now the small tennis project, the China Youth City Challenge, is to pay attention to the construction of the youth training system, the innovation of the competition platform, and the talent base. ”

Chinese tennis players have achieved good results in the just-concluded Australian Open, and the press conference received blessings from athletes such as Zhang Zhizhen, Zheng Qinwen, Wang Yafan, Zhu Lin and other athletes from the Chinese national tennis team**.
