Wu Yongxiu, an old actor who was once active in the Korean entertainment industry, was suspected of coercive ** crimes, and his glamorous acting career suddenly cast a shadow.

Wu Yongxiu joined the Square Repertory Theatre in 1963, and later made his debut with the film "Fishing Village", and worked in the National Theatre Company for a long time. He has participated in many well-known film and television works, such as "The Child Monk", "Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter and Spring", "Queen Seondeok" and "Squid Game Season 1", and has won high recognition from the audience and the industry with his superb acting skills and profound artistic attainments.

However, in December 2022, a shocking news broke: Wu Yongxiu was accused of forcibly ** a low-level woman in her early 20s during a theater performance between July and September 2017. As soon as this news came out, there was an uproar, and people condemned Wu Yongxiu's actions.

On February 3 of the following year, the case was first held at the Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Court in South Korea. Prosecutors are asking for a one-year prison sentence for Ms. Wu. In the face of the prosecution's accusations, Wu Yongxiu firmly denied it and said that he would defend himself to the end. The sentencing hearing will be held on March 15, 2024.

This incident is not only an ordinary criminal case, but also triggers deep thinking about the ethics and morality of the entertainment industry. As public figures, celebrities' every move is exemplary to society. Their actions are not only about personal reputation, but also affect the values of society as a whole.

We hope that the judicial authorities will hear this case fairly in accordance with the law and give a satisfactory explanation to the victims and the public.
