This **, taken in front of a temple, the hero Wen Jihou "sits" on a wooden chair, closes his eyes slightly, tilts his head slightly to one side,—— in fact, he has given his precious life.
Beside him, his wife held their child in her arms, supporting Wen Jihou's body with her arms, while Wen Zhide stood behind, clutching Wen Jihou's belt and trying to pull him back.
This **, although simple but full of affection, is known as a special and touching family photo. The last words of the hero Wen Jihou before his sacrifice were "Justice, it is inexhaustible, and it cannot be killed!" ”
This deafening sentence became his eternal belief. It was a day full of tragedy and heroism, and on May 29, 1928, Wen Jihou died heroically and fought for justice.
Wen Jihou: The son of a landlord and the "betrayer" of the revolution, Wen Jihou was born into a wealthy family, his father was a famous local landowner, and he was also a man full of patriotic feelings.
Wen Jihou, who has been influenced by his father since he was a child, has a deep concern and sense of responsibility for the future of the country and the nation. He was intellectual, studious, and eager to read and contemplate the mysteries of the world.
In middle school, he excelled in his grades and became a high-profile student. From then on, he came into contact with Marxist and communist theories, actively moved closer to the party organization, and also began to pay attention to social problems and revolutionary movements.
After returning from school, Wen Jihou chose to return to his hometown to develop education instead of going to the big city to pursue a better life. As the principal of Qilisi Primary School, he not only taught students knowledge and skills, but also paid more attention to cultivating their revolutionary ideals and patriotic feelings.
He actively responded to the party's call, used his influence and connections to assist in the preparation of the Huaxian National Congress, and organized the establishment of the Qilisi District Peasant Association with Shi Zhuosheng and others, leading the masses to resist the exploitation and oppression of warlords and evil gentry.
With the "funding" of the gentry, the local rural organizations have developed rapidly. Wen Jihou has demonstrated outstanding organizational and leadership skills in the peasant movement. He not only educated the masses to understand the truth of the revolution, but also inspired them to devote themselves to practical action.
For example, he once led more than 100 peasants from Zhengcun, Qilisi and other places to rush into Chishui Town, arrest Yang Baohe, director of the grain and straw charge d'affaires of the fish and meat people, and investigate Yang Baohe's ** money over the years.
Ye Zhenben, the local county magistrate, hated Wen Jihou very much, and personally led people to the countryside many times. But each time, they were driven away by the peasants led by Wen Jihou and fled.
On May 1, 1928, the Weihua Uprising broke out, and the reactionaries launched a frenzied hunt for Communists and progressives. On the evening of May 5, Wen Jihou urgently held a party branch meeting at Qilisi Primary School to discuss how to deal with this situation.
However, as a result of the traitor's whistleblowing, a group of reactionary military police suddenly broke into the school. In order to allow the other comrades to leave first, Wen Jihou and Shen Dingyuan, each armed with a pistol, held on to the entrance of the building, and engaged in a fierce exchange of fire with the enemy.
Eventually, the bullets ran out and they were unlucky**. After capturing Wen Jihou, the county magistrate was ecstatic, and he immediately began an interrogation with the police chief. However, Wen Jihou was very determined, he angrily rebuked the enemy, and resolutely did not reveal any party secrets.
He said firmly: "I am a party member, if you want to kill, kill it, no need to say more!" If you want to know the secret of the party from my mouth, go dream! ”
In prison, Wen Jihou silently told his comrades-in-arms: "I have been exposed and cannot leave here. But you haven't! You put all the blame on me, and you do whatever the principal says, without knowing the principal's true intentions.
You all say you don't know. In any case, you must not reveal your identity, you must survive! "Not only did he not betray the organization and his comrades, but he did everything to keep them safe.
The county magistrate was furious, brutally tortured him, hung him up and whipped him, and even burned his whole body with a soldering iron. However, Wen Jihou remained tenacious and unyielding.
The reactionaries, seeing that they could not get any useful information from Wen Jihou, decided to kill him.
After Wen Jihou**, someone tried to rescue him, but the reactionary authorities decided to execute him on the spot. Liu Zhidan planned to rob the prison, but in the end he failed due to lack of strength. On the morning of May 29, Wen Jihou was escorted to the execution ground, and when he died, he shouted: "Justice is inexhaustible, and it cannot be killed!" ”
Wen Jihou's wife was overwhelmed with grief when she learned of her husband's death and passed out. After waking up, she and her brother Wen Zhide took her husband's body home. She cleaned her husband's wounds, changed into a shroud, and asked a photographer to take a "family photo" for them.
This ** is preserved in the Weihua Uprising Memorial Hall in Weinan City, which is a precious historical witness.
The hero Wen Jihou sat quietly on a wooden chair, his eyes slightly closed, and his head tilted to one side. He is actually dead. Beside him, his wife, holding their child in her arms, supported his body with her arms.
Standing aside was his fellow villager Wen Zhide, who clutched Wen Jihou's belt and tried to pull him back, leaving behind this "family photo" that spanned life and death.
Wen Jihou was a strong woman, a virtuous wife, and a loving mother. When her husband joined the revolutionary work, she silently supported and took care of the family and children.
After the death of her husband, although she was very sad, in order to leave a memorial, she took that special family photo and renamed her son "Wen Nianchi", encouraging her son to inherit his father's legacy and continue to devote himself to the revolution.
Wen Jihou's wife finally died of excessive grief in the winter of the same year.
Wen Nianchi, born in 1922, was a great anti-Japanese fighter who participated in the later stages of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the Northern Shaanxi Liberation War. In 1958, the state posthumously awarded him a revolutionary martyr, and personally issued the "Glorious Memorial Certificate for the Families of Revolutionary Sacrifice Workers".
This precious commemorative card was brought back to Huaxian from Beijing by Wen Jihou's heroic comrades-in-arms and handed over to his son Wen Nianchi. His deeds and spirit will always be remembered and passed on to future generations.
